WarSeer.com was launched in late March 2005 after the fall of PORTENT.NET to act as a new home for the community. Ever since the site has been dedicated to reviews, news and discussion about Games Workshop products and any other gaming system we find interesting.

The new site was setup with a small group of loyal Portent members including nick who was an admin on Portent. After getting agreement from Portent's owner we asked members for donations to cover the server fees and shortly afterwards WarSeer was officially launched. WarSeer has since grown beyond Portent and is now an entity no longer in the shadow of its parent site.

At the time of writing we currently receive almost 5 million page views every month and after the closure of the official Games Workshop forums we are one of the largest Games Workshop communities around.
