Sylass  22/03/2007 - 17:45

Time is Running Out!

Our pre-registration figures are on track for this year to be the biggest AdeptiCon ever. Our tournaments and hobby seminars are rapidly filling up, with many events having only a handful of available spaces. The 40K National Team Tournament has already sold out!

If you haven't already registered, the only way to guarantee that you participate in our remaining events is to pre-register online at www.adepticon.org today! As a reminder, here’s our AdeptiCon 2007 tournament lineup:

Friday, March 30th:

  • *Lord of the Rings Team Tournament – 2-player teams will bring both Good and Evil to the Windy City in a battle for mastery of Middle Earth!
  • *Warhammer Fantasy Escalation – 3 rounds of Fantasy warfare with ever-increasing army sizes each round!
  • Warhammer 40K Gladiator – 2000 points of no-holds-barred 40K play!

Saturday, March 31st:

  • *Warhammer Fantasy Championships – Fantasy players will discover an AdeptiCon twist on an old favorite!
  • Warhammer 40K National Team Tournament – 4-player teams face off in the largest 40K tournament anywhere!

Sunday, April 1st:

  • Battlefleet Gothic Championship – 1500 point fleets battle for supremacy in the void of space!
  • Warhammer Fantasy Team Tournament – Teams of 2 compete for Fantasy honors!
  • *Warhammer 40K Championships – Players will use 1850 point armies to face the unique challenges and rigor of this event.

*These events are part of the Games Workshop Tournament series.

The full schedule of Hobby Seminars can be downloaded from our website (pdf, Acrobat Reader required):

For more information about our tournaments, seminars, or to register online, go to http://www.adepticon.org today. Don’t forget that all AdeptiCon 2007 attendees who pre-register online will automatically be entered into a raffle for a Gale Force 9 gaming table. Remember, pre-registration ends on Thursday, March 29th!

Free Events!

Remember, with an AdeptiCon 2007 Weekend Badge, you will gain free admission/entry to the following events:

  • Friday/Saturday Evening: Bitz Trading - Buy, sell, or trade bits, miniatures, and even entire armies with your fellow AdeptiCon attendees at our bits trading sessions.
  • Saturday Evening: 40K Codicier and Fantasy Loremaster Challenge – Find out how much you really know about the 40K and Fantasy universes in fun, exciting, game-show-type competition.
  • Friday/Sunday: Aeronautica Imperialis Demos – Try out Aeronautica Imperialis, Forge World’s newest game, and find out what aerial combat in the 41st millennium is all about. Models and rules will be provided, or bring your own and show off your latest squadron!
  • Rogue Demon Painting Competition – Show off your best work and compete for the coveted Rogue Demon medallion. Enter your masterpieces in the categories of Single Miniature, Squad or Regiment, Vehicle or Large Monster, Youngbloods, or Open Category.
  • Vendor Hall - This year, AdeptiCon’s vendor hall will feature the Games Workshop Chicago Battle Bunker (with Games Workshop, Forge World, and Black Library product on hand), Gale Force 9, Blue Table Painting, and others. Blue Table Painting will also be accepting applications for full-time painter positions at their Utah studio, so if you’re interested in a career as a miniature painter, bring some samples and a resume to share with them.
