Finished my first eldar model last night! (of the pack that i won at War over Hrekr IX Aero Tourney! Boo! Hiss!)

I'm an idiot for choosing the white Biel-tan, but vallejo skull white and foundation grey have been very useful.

Here's a bonus set of Biel-Tan base markers for you. Not my best work as I couldn't be bothered finding a mouse and used the laptop touchpad last night, but they get the job done :)

cheers dude :) I can't wait to expand the force one day, painting white might be a bitch but it's worth it (colours are: black undercoat, astronomicon grey basecoat, fortress grey+Vallejo skull white second coat, fenris grey line shading & wash in vents, skull white top highlights. Fiddly but smooth for white! i think i will re-do my red scorpions apothecaries with this method, they look a bit haggard with games workshop skull white :P)

Very nice. White is always a PITA to do and that looks quite good

Where did you get the flight stand from?

That's an excellent job there Fattdex!
Can't wait to see more of the Eldar when you do them.

White looks very clean cut and well done. Very hard to do, bu ya pulled it off. Try Vellejo whites(White and Foundation White) and maybe the foundation grey, I think Vellejo has better whites. Thats if you can get a hold of the paints though. Please keep us updated with the rest of your Biel-Tan, I look forward to seeing how you paint the other Eldar Aeronautica...

Link to Vallejo, (I think)

DarkAzrael169, exactly what i used ;-) Vallejo skull white with GW foundation astronomicon grey- I mixed GW fortress grey with vallejo white for a lighter grey and it still went on well.

flight stands are 1/8in (i think?) diameter clear plastic rod from plastruct (most good hobby/model train stores will have a plastruct product stand).

Will do more on these in about a month or so, I need to get 2 more nightwing, 3 vampires, some firestorms- and maybe something else if they get something new in the new book ;-)

I am thinking of doing an ace nightwing and ace vampire, possibly one all green with darker green vines pattern (and white markings, with grey vines), the other white with grey vines pattern (with green stripes, darker green vines)

Good job :). I like what your going to do with the aces, I think you have inspired me to do likewise... with Ulthwe.

Great job on the white there Dex, I have to agree that the vallejo whites are superior to the gw ones, but I haven't tried the foundation ones yet.
