Look at Rictus's LR in Dads Army, and his rhino in his log, think they are the best conversions for nurgle I've seen

Ok so I have put the pred together now and I've started to detail the model, a few spikes have been added and I have chipped away at the hull to give it an aged/weathered look.

I'm waiting for my green stuff to come today I've orders a meter roll of the stuff can't have to much!

Here is some pic's so far, as always comments appreciated.

Ok so I did a bit more last night and have now decided I want the preditor to represent being possesed by a demon
So some of the things I'll add are chains to the back door and the hatch on the turret to show the demon being held in side.
I also painted cracks on the hull to mark out where the green stuff cracks are going to go.

I'm ganna fill the hull with something that looks like a demon
these are my original Ideas using the carapace from the Nid Carnefex and sculpting some green stuff tenticles etc...(green stuff still hasn't arrive - Roymail obviously serving the dark gods now days

I have gone a bit mad on the modelling of the pred this weekend and ended up getting it to paint...But like an idiot I didn't take any photos of the in between parts woops... But hey I suppose the end result is what's important so i'll post some more pics tomorrow so you can see some of the detailing I've done.

Its looking really good. I especially like the use of the Fex carapace to represent "something awful" lurking within the hull, even more so because you can remove the turret to see it.

The paint scheme is looking promising too; what colours did you use? And the chains look rather good, where did you get them from?

Keep the updates coming, can't wait to see it finished

Not bad, not bad at all actually. The use of the Carni carapace is a nice touch for the interior, and the use of cracks over bubbled effects is certainly uncommon. Like the base green you're working with too, got a more sullen look to it.

Wow, the cracks are a nice touch. Instead of the slimy, greasy look that nurgle standard gets, some dried out, cracked, leathery death machine would be very original indeed!

The base colour is an equal part mix of goblin green and camo green darkened with chaos black, then I just use less chaos black in the mix to do the primary highlights, I use a really old messed up flat brush to apply the base coat in rough streaks to give it a moldy look. I'll probably be using browns and a bit of bleach bone as I bring the colour up.
The chains I got from B&Q for those of you in the uk if not any big hardware store should have a nice selection of chain I got about 4 foot of chain for 95p so its cheep to!

I'm stuck with how to paint the cracks!!! do I do them in a fleshy tone or just highlight up the base colour help me out guys!

Maybe expose the "flesh" of the demon beneath, maybe with blood/puss/*insert random bodily fluid* seeping out of the cracks?

I like the painting style and cracks idea, and since I'm contemplating on starting a Nurgle warband myself, I might have to yoink it...
