Okay. I've just watched the entire first season of Lost. Awesome, awesome show.

SPOILERS!!!! SPOILERS!!!! SPOILERS!!!! SPOILERS!!!!

What's really got me all worked up is how little everything is explained. There's so much more I want to know!! I really care about the characters now, and despite the complete lack of realism (CPR bringing a person back from not breathing/no heart activity, how glamorous everyone looks all the time, etc), I love it.

But, there are so many story archs and so many plot hooks, I'm getting frustrated not knowing anything. What do you guys think?

What's inside the hatch tunnel?
Where did Ethan come from?
Who are 'the others'?
Why did those guys on the boat take Walt?
And who were they?
Will Charlie get back on the heroin?
Where, and who is Alex?
What's Locke's secret, and how come he can walk now?
What did Kate do to be on the run?
Is Sawyer alive?
What happened to the Aussie girl and Charlie when they were taken?
Why did Jack's father disappear to Australia?
What is the monster, and why didn't it kill Locke?
Where did the polar bears come from?
Who were the people in the caves?
Where is Jack's father's body?
Is the radio working from the plane?
What's the deal with the french woman?

And finally (and probably most importantly) what the hell are the numbers about?

What's inside the hatch tunnel? Really want to know that to
Where did Ethan come from? could it not be the child the french woman lost. However he looks much older then 16.
Who are 'the others'? those strange strong people on the boat?
Why did those guys on the boat take Walt?
And who were they? the others? I guess. they weren't coming for the baby, but for walt. ?
What's Locke's secret, and how come he can walk now? the magic of the island?
What did Kate do to be on the run? bankrobbery?
Where did the polar bears come from? came with the experimenting team?

I got some questions myself.
How come those people on the boat are so strong?
What is it with those numbers on the hatch?
Why does it looks so old in that hatch?
What is it with those monsters/flying clouds?

ive been told the numbers are the longitude/lattitude (which add up to tell us the island is just south west of new zealand)
and a good theory ive herd is that "the monster" is just some weird magic thingy, that is actually the greatest fear of whomever sees it, theyre afraid of a polar bear, they see a polar bear.
Locke is probably afraid of being forever cripple (going out on a limb here mind) so he probably saw himself crippled in episode 4/5 (which one was it?)

nice theory, kinda works but im not sure :eyebrows:

:

Who is afraid of a polar bear while walking through the jungle :eyebrows:
And it would say everything we saw about locke and other people other than on the island might never happened? :wtf:

And who were they? the others? I guess. they weren't coming for the baby, but for walt. ?

I saw a few episodes, and while I wasn't terribly impressed with it, I did see half the finale. When Delenn... sorry, the french woman took the baby to the fire, recall what she said?

"I heard them, they said they were coming for the boy". As soon as I heard that, I cracked up laughing because they were going to get busted.

As to why they are after Walt, I wouldn't have a clue. Replenish the tribe maybe?

I do know what they are though. If the island is south west of NZ, then they're Southlanders, making them a weird breed at the best of time. I bet they're from Gore too, lovely little Gore (ignore NZ comments if you do not understand) :p

For the monster, I'm sticking to my theory that it is a security device, probably to protect the casino in the centre of the island from stranded riff-raff :D

Other questions-

What is the sickness that infected the french woman's team?
How did the Black Rock get where it is?
Why isn't that island well known? It seems huge.
Why is the sea level rising?
Why is Hurley cursed?
Related to 'How come Locke can walk?' is how come he looked like he was losing the ability to walk, then got it back?

How did the Black Rock get where it is? ------maybe a storm or a tidal wave?
Why isn't that island well known? It seems huge ------ Maybe It's known but none live there.
Why is Hurley cursed? ------because he used those numbers which are on the hatch

What's Locke's secret, and how come he can walk now?

When the plane crashed, the tremors and the shock 'fixed' his spine/legs

I loved the finale. I watched every episode. The polar bear was because Walt was reading a comic book with a polar bear on it. It is possible that Walt can control the monster and that's why the "others" want him.

I must say when the science teacher picked up the TNT and then blew up raining chunks of himself all over them I couldn't stop laughing! It was just so sudden and semi unexpected. My girlfriend and her Mum were horrified but I loved it. Best bit in the whole series I reckon. (that and the new Carlton Draught "It's a big ad) that was on in the ad break just after it.
