Yes as soon as I saw that, I thought the same!

Just thinking of how to create the howda's (SP) to hold twin linked shuriken catapults and laser lances!

I was thinking Xeno Mounts :D

In the WFB thread about it I pointed out that it would probably end up being used by more 40k players than WFB ones.

I just WANT the model - it's gorgeous.

It is rather. Definitely one of Jes Goodwin's. Hopefully it will be on a separate sprue, so I don't end up having to buy a whole load of Dark elves I don't want...

Hmm, looks like I will eventually make Catachan rough riders after all.

I was thinking of knights as it is a cold one not the Large Ancient one from the Lizardman line ....

I made this about 10 yrs ago or so and will prob update it when I work on my exodites...

Nice idea.

Give the rider a laser lance, and you've got instant "counts as" shining spears. :)

I think the big problem with using that Cold One as an Exodite knight is that its HUGE judging by the Juggernaut and Jetbike also in the pic.

Are DE coldoneknights really that big compared to a eldar?? Its probably a 3up.

No.

Given that several of the new models we've seen have had the large master prototype along with the actual gaming sized ones (like the ork boys), unless that particular cold one is just going to be a statue, i don't think it's size is a problem.

I definitely am getting the urge to give my Cadian bikers some catachan friends. And I just swore of buying more models until I'd finished with everything I already have...

Wow, I really wasn't happy with the current cold ones, they look a little docile, this one looks dangerous, a nice mini !

You are kidding, right?

Anyway, I just hope they do some additional poses; as much awesome as is contained in this one, I'd like to see a proper stretched out running pose and maybe a rearing one too....

I was also thinking of doing cold one exodites. Would most people be ok with me using them as jet bikes? (I'm thinking of sticking a seer council on them.)

And an new eldar jetbike poking his head out of the corner, Yay GW you may just make me forgive you for the lack of new HE :D

This is a bit problematic, as Dinosaurs don't ignore terrain, aren't anti-grav skimmers and have no turboboost.
But in friendly games, most people are tolerant, if you expain what they are.

Attached are some pics from other Xeno mounts by Urban War:

Riders are removable, mounts the right size.

everyone had the tought of exodites.
but now that i see the other models in the picture (which i didnt notice due the beauty of the cold one), i think its a cold one for DE lords instead of the normal DE cold one knights.....as its huge
they might be the same size as knarlocs from FW.

It's a 3up, and I suspect, an example of the Plastic Lords mount, rather than the standard cavalry one.....though I could be wrong of course!

It's huge because it is the 3up for the model...

still a sweet conversion opportunity. I mean really xeno mounts, exodites, feral counts as space marines, kroot.. the list just goes on and on. *except for chaos, wh, dh, and necrons*

Comrades,

You know, those would also make excellent mounts for Tallarn Rough Riders as well.....

One can only hope that the lizardmen actually get to use these bad boys. But I suspect that they'll be stuck with their current lousy mounts (well their not that bad, just not that great).

Considering that the riders are already elves, I wonder how much you'd really need to do to convert them into proper exodites? Hell, I'm now thinking of creating some xenos mounts for my Tau , why do only IG have calvary rules? :cries:

That cold one is amazing. I like it a lot.

I'd also like to see someone use a Carnosaur in their Exodite army.

The first thing I thought of when I looked at the Codex was how easy and awesome it would be to make an Exodite themed army list.

I think we just got one step closer.
