SO i have put my deposit down on a baneblade for my BT army but should i make it as a hellhammer or baneblade?

Baneblade, it's way cooler than a hellhamer....IMO at least...and rules wise it has a way better range, so it can reach your opponents line from turn one (most of the time) AND it uses the uber cool 10' template AND you can upgrade it to a commisariat crew of a high command crew (don't know the exact terms) and I think it fits most armies fluff much more....IMO at least:angel:

Buy another one and have both. If you are playing on a board with loads of terrain then a Hellhammer is invaluable as its cannon negates cover saves. Also range isnt really an issue in Apocalypse.

I vote 1 tank, some magnets, and 2 turrets. :D

What about the sponsors tho the hellhammer has H flamers and Bane has H bolters

Two versions two tanks i know its twice the price than using magnets but it would look awsome on the shelf. Thats what id would do except im going for a baneblade/ titan tag team.

If you can put heavy bolters on the hellhammer rather than flamers, I'd go for that in a heartbeat. The turret gun is much nicer, although the Baneblade is nice too.

See if you can buy as some people will elect not to have them, get extra side armour;)

Magnetise the side armour plates glued in an L shape. Then make up the sponsons with heavy bolters.

Heavy flamers suck on tanks so make the Hellhammer automatically armour 14, and the Banebalde either armour 14 or sponsons.

I haver built some Baneblades for my local store. I will be posting a modelling guide closer to release time.

Really, do both. A little magnet work so the weapon and sponsons pop on and off, and it can be whatever you want.

Being plastic the rare earth magnets are the choice to go. Simply glue on to the inside of the tank piece and the other inside the part. To place a magnet in the barrel of the gun and to ensure you get the right pole. Put the glue down hold the piece in place and let the magnet tumble into the barrel. The poles will attract themselves.

This can be done also with the side sponsons weapons as well. Glue and magnets are your friend.
