What is the best way to convert wings for winged tyranid warriors? I can't seem to find a set of wings that fits well...

FW do some, or use the Dark Elf Pegasi wings from the Morathi mini.

How about the wings from the vampire counts winged nightmare for whfb?

It's not often you'd hear someone say this, but FW works out as the cheapest, by a noticeable margin. :D Also, the heavier metal wings would probably break off more easily. And the FW wings are designed to fit the warriors! Much less faffing about.

Gargoyle wings from the Nid Range.

Just the right size, imo. Trim a bit of the joint and glue in under the carapace where the upper arms go.

Or give them propeller hats.

Morathi Pegasus wings will cost you $10 for a set (3 for $30) and $8 in shipping
Forgeworld Warrior wings will cost you about $28 for 3 sets, and about $4.20 in shipping (or w/e 15% is)

GW = $38 to outfit 3 Warriors
FW = $32.20 to outfit 3 Warriors

Wow...that's pretty shocking, really.

Wait for the new Chaos Posessed to come out for bits orders and buy the one sprue that has the backpacks, and clip the wings off + some GS work (ok, maybe too much work for some lol)..? With 2 sets of wings per sprue, and figure the sprues to be about 8-10$ (30$ for the box, and it only has 2 sprues total, not counting the bases). 24-30$ and you could fit 6 warriors with wings then!

I saw some warriors with fake butterfly wings a few years ago. Great Idea, looked like utter crap... so uh, don't do that. ....I guess.

I saw some with dragonfly-style wings and they looked interesting but the pictures were too small to tell if they actually looked decent - I'm not sure about Fury wings but there is another possibility...though you'd probably be better off buying the whole box $60 Canadian I think, which is now technically more in US$ but US has cheaper prices (I know this is another topic) and you'd end up with some extra minis for conversion.
