View Full Version : Ork Dreadnought 'Stompie'

Pictured below is the big ork dreadnought I made last summer. Some of you might recognise him as 'Stompie' from 2 battle reports here on warseer.
Most of the parts are from a defiler, but I used a lot of other parts as well.

Love it so 'orkyfied', a master piece of Ork tech

03-10-2007, 17:30
I know it's a silly base.
Maybe I'll make a better one, but I don't have any interesting bits in my bits-box at the moment.

WAAAGH! <,< I luv dis fing!

03-10-2007, 17:37
It's feet are made of lascannons.

Lascannons for feet! Pure awesome. :D

That fings gorgeous!! I love it. Infact, consider it looted

:skull: One of the best dreads I have seen in a long long while. I absolutely love it :skull:

An amazing piece of work!

Definitely needs the larger base though :p

03-10-2007, 18:16
HA! It's pretty cool. It reminds me of the walkers from Teh Matricks.

03-10-2007, 18:18
Yeah, the base needs to be bigger. Great modelled and painted dread though.

03-10-2007, 20:19
well i think that he should have a microphone straped to his face and huge amps on the side of the seat just so he can scream WWWWWAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! as loud as he can now that would make it the colest dred ever

03-10-2007, 20:29
Only complaint I got is that the feet doesnt look like they are jointed enough..

Otherwise nice idea.. bit much metallic paint tho.. add in more colours all over it..

id also go over the blood on the claws again try and ink it or line it to make it look more like blood

03-10-2007, 22:18
That is absolutely brilliant.

03-10-2007, 23:22
I like it - very stompy.

03-10-2007, 23:26
He's a bit big for a dread isn't he? ;)

Did you do any VDR for this baby? He'd be great for Apoc.

04-10-2007, 04:58
crazy cool, will you be using him as a stompa in apoc?

04-10-2007, 07:16
I suppose I could use him as a stompa in apoc, but in regular games I'll just use him as a dreadnought.
Pherhaps I'll make something even bigger to represent my stompa!

WAAAAAAGHHHH! Dat is da coolest 'naught I 'ave eva seen Mek! Make da boss anudda one!

Oh and if in the 41st Millenium units actually walked around with bases on them, a few auto-cannons could tip it over. :p

Wow nice job. A bit on the large side but thats OK, a defiler is basically a giant chaos dreadnought. The little pilot guy is cool, hes all like "I'm gonna stomp ya and I don't care that I don't have an armoured cockpit!" Seriously good conversion though.

"Wwaaaagghhh, Itz time fa stompin!", It looks great, are his feet actualy ment to represent lascannons? "I can shoot yaz wile iz stompin yaz!"

04-10-2007, 09:07
V. nice. Looks so Orky. I'd have to say that I kinda like the base. It's oddness of size adds to the orkiness of the figure. meh ... aesthetic opinion. I'd just be a little scared that it would fall over, but I guess that's why superglue is a standard part of my figurines travel pack :).

05-10-2007, 12:47
I'm not scared of him falling over. He's more stable than he looks actually and almost indestructable. (He allready fell over once, thanks to a clumpsy opponent, and survived)

Cool. Did you hear a big clatter when it fell?

06-10-2007, 13:23
I love the Lascannon feet, wasn´t this guy starring in a battle report a while ago?

It was against tyranids I think...

06-10-2007, 13:28
That's fantastic :D

Very very Orky indeed. Good work tht man.

07-10-2007, 12:32
Yes, he joined my orks twice in a battle report here on warseer. One against tyranids and the second against SM. Both games he did not survive. Opponents usually like killing your most beautiful creations.
