I know that FOC's don't have to be adhered to in Apocalyps, but mixing old and new 'dexes is somewhat odd isn't it?
No generic Daemons but the old God- specific ones? Obliterators in Elite?

Personally I think they were working off the new Chaos codex and the forthcoming Daemon codex. You might want to have a look at the thread about this in News & Rumours...

You're probably right although that doesn't explain the Obliterators in Elite or the Dreadnoughts in Heavy. Slip of the pen? Or wishful thinking ?;)

Of course it may have been a case that Apocalypse was playtested around the same time, if not before the new Chaos Codex.

Seriously, we've been having apocalypse rumours for over a year before it was released. We knew about the baneblade for a good 7 months and about the production issues.

The battle reports compiled may simply have been during the early stages of testing the rules with new 'revamped' photos taken before it went to print.

Battle report was obviously written before the new codex, but everything else (the datasheets) refer to "Summoned Lesser Daemons" as per the new codex.
So, basically, the rules are right, and that's what really matters, right? :)
