Hello there, how the devil are you?

Right well I've started to get back into the hobby again after quite a few years off. I'm more into the painting side of the hobby so am taking the time to make them look good.

Also this project is a nice break if I get bored of painting Imperial Guard.

Iím going to start with painting up a regiment of chaos warriors and Chaos champion...but I'm going to try to paint each model to my highest standards

I'm going to apologise now for the infrequent updates...

Thereís always been a loose theme of the carnival of chaos for my army...more obvious in the marauders and the petting zoo (beastmen) elements. I didnít however want an overly comical army so thereís not too many of the stereotypical circus things but I hope the theme of a travelling band of undercover Nurgle worshippers, entrancing the feeble humans of the empire before throwing off their disguises and letting the true embrace of papa noigul out...ahem

anyway on with the pictures, warrior no#1

Looking really good! Can't wait to see more! :)

That warrior doesn't look like he's "festering". The cape is great.

Will you be using the Mordheim Carnival of Chaos models?

Nice chaos warrior. :)

I think he needs some yellow pus leaking between his armour - just to even out the front with the back.

Thanks for the comments guys glad you like the cape.
Yes indeedy Iím going to be using a few of the carnival of chaos, namely the strongmen and the little jester imp bloke but the majority of my marauders will be conversions based on original marauders, empire blokes, zombies and flagellants...but there'll be a bit of a wait till them Iím afraid

That warrior doesn't look like he's "festering"

Touchť, I think the armours too clean tbh. Iíve painted the champ and tried to make the armour seem more dirty...not 100% on the green tinge but let me know what you think.

I'm really enjoying painting these, very satisfying models to paint

It's a little hard to see, but the tarnishing on the armour looks good. Much more nurgly. You might consider trying some rusting or patina work on the metal. The tarnish though does look nice.
