There will supposedly be a new giant model and it will supposedly be plastic, but it might not be this year.

When I asked about it on GD UK they said they'd start working on it some time during this year. It's going to be a multi part plastic set with parts to make an average giant, a slave giant or a chaos giant.

As far as I know, the master-miniature is finished. It 'just' needs to be prepared for the casting process or something...not completely sure.

Isn't the casting process very time consuming when you do it for a plastic model compared to metal models? (That's why it's so expensive)
My point is we may still have a lot of time of waiting left. Just look at the gnoblars for example, the three-ups were finnished over a year before they were released.
Yeah, I think you are right with that. At least that's what I was told too.
I got the first info about them working on a plastic giant nearly 8 month ago at the german Games Day. No idea when we'll finally see the finished sprues...might as well be next year. :/
I guess even if the casting thing would be solved already, they'd still wait for a fitting release date...

Yes, there gone be an Slavegaint.
Yeah the plastic giant is apperently finished and is slowly being converted to the plastic kits. Expect to see it in about a year or so.

From the GD Atlanta report at The Realm of Inisfail:

Sorry about the blurriness of the photo, someone standing beside me bumped into me and then the display was blocked from view after that, so I couldn't get another pic. But look in the back, it's there!
That is a 3-up model of a plastic Ogre Irongut...
Is that a Wood Elf green on the corner of that Pic?

A giant irongut
It can't be it though, giant don't have armor. And they certainly won't look that much like an irongut anyway. Maybe that's an forgeworld ogre-irongut-that-was-mutated-because-it-was-too-close-to-the-Great-Maw
Naw, it's a 3-up.
Damn elf-thing is too blurry to tell if is Woodelf or not, but I'm gonna guess it's a green of one of the High elf characters for Lustria
I think that thing in the corner is a LOTR model. It's slightly smaller than the high elves and on a round base.

Darn your right, I was gonna say it looks like the new HE hero with bow but that has to be a lotr model.
That is a three-up in the background by the way.
If it is a LOTR model then its either an unarmoured Wood Elf Bowman, A Ranger of the North or a Ranger of Gondor.
I'm guessing it's a Mirkwood Elf for the upcoming Mirkwood supplement.

I believe its Haldir, or Legolas
I'm guessing it's a Mirkwood Elf for the upcoming Mirkwood supplement.
Its possiable but I have heard they were in plastic.
