I've got my 'Munitorum Manual' in front of me and under specialist types of missile launcher ammo it says 'Other missile types are available, such as smoke missiles, plasma or anti-pant missiles...' I know what the first two would do but please tell me what on terra is an 'anti-pant' missile?

it basicly melts plant material into a sludge....so troops cant use it as cover

There were such things as anti-plant missiles and grenades, that destroy plants.

So "Anti-pant" is either a typo, or something absolutely horrifying.

So was it meant to be anti-plant? At the moment it sounds like a certain childrens program...

Must be that one, after all the missiles aren't used much because they're so 'situational'. Now to see who comes up with the idea I have first :).

Versus Slaaneshi: Instant 'Pinning' test as the targets attempt to stop themselves taking advantage of the sudden opportunity. We all know what they're actually doing, but this board has to stay vaguely 12A...

Come on, don't tell me no one has seen The Nude Bomb...

But an anti-plant bomb would be like a 40K turbo agent orange on streoids. Like said, for destroying vegetation and denying the enemy the cover.

Visionary, if what you're suggesting involves the SoBs in any way, might I suggest forgetting it while you still have your reproductive organs attached and functional?

Wait...

Why don't they have anti-plant sprayers to take care of orks?

How dare you traitors and Xeno scum disgrace the incredibly competent and supremely benevolent clerks, scribes and officers of the Departmento Munitorum, by suggesting there is a "mistake" inscribed within the divinely-anointed Imperial Munitorum Manual!

All Guardsmen participating in this discussion will report to thier Regimental Commissariat!

Because mushrooms are neither plant nor animal, but simply mushrooms, including chitin in their "skin".

is there a difference between the British and American anti-pant missiles? ;)

It's true what they say you know - the armor never comes off.

Yes The UK version simply makes the Target "Go Commando" (and can induce serious chafing) while the US version dissolves the trousers (inducing severe embarrisment).

Both weapons are banned under article 6 of the Geneva Convention

Anti Pant ammo is only used by Sisters of battle against renegade IG and Marine formations, and by those same formations against Sisters formations that have gone rogue. If not available, the "Viagra Bomb" warhead may be used in some circumstances.

You know, I'd like a few anti-pant grenades.

It'd make life easier. Lots more fun anyway.

Correct, they're Fungi.

Anti-plant originated in RT - aside from dissolving trees and hedges which people were hiding behind, so the rest of your army could blow holes in them, it's best use was against bio-wire, which itself is something I wouldn't mind seeing again.;)

I would guess that Imperial forces will try and use anti-plant type chemicals against Tyrannids where they can, either in aerosol form sprayed from aircraft, as the payload of a commando raid to try and inject a concentrated form into a capillary tower (to try and kill/incapacitate a hive ship) or loaded into ortillery/artillery shells and missiles, even if only to weaken them to make them easier to kill.

Anti-pant wouldn't be very effective against troops of Celtic origin.:p

The Anti-Pant Grenade was developed by a parent who did not enjoy changing diapers and used the grenade to remove the soiled garment and contents, thus saving much of the trouble.

The more powerful Anti-Pant Missle was developed for the Imperial orphanages and resulted in a drastic increase in the survivability of the young charges, as well as the sanity of those running the orphanages.

Slannesh cults have been known to steal Anti-Pant weaponry for various recrutement and indoctrination rituals.
