Having become subject to the whims of will, i've fallen in love with my old iron warrior army again, and although i was originally creatin a bloodpact army for apocolypse but its too large a project to manage, so i am allying them with my favourite legion. The Iron Warriors.

I've got a fair bit planned course, but thats for the future. here are some nice pictures:

Baneblade:

Terminator:

Hope to get some more intresting things like my bionics gs experiments up, but this is a good start point,

C&C welcome,

Ok here is the baneblade updated, i think its about ready for the paint station myself, although some sanding is required first, a few gs touch ups, not much else...

Very nice, but the baneblade looks a bit too clean at the moment. Perhaps it will look a lot better when it's painted.

Coming along nicely, the last pic, amkes the paint look a little streaky.

Looks like you painted it all in one direction and it's a little noticeable in some areas.
But i do like the layered metal/rust effect., Look forward to seeing more

I'm definitley feeling the Baneblade. I'm picking up a 2nd Baneblade today to start working on my own IW baneblade (got one for guard already, probably going to get 2 more for them as well)

I like the Terminator too!

I don't know if you're aware, but lopping the bunny ears of Berserker heads makes for absolutely ace Iron Warrior heads. I tried it out on one of my ToP long fangs. You can't really see it behind the lascannon, but it's marvelous.

G.Hawke

i'd throught about it, but it's much easier for me to sculpt a load of "knight" masks onto standard SM helms.

update of the captain btw:

the standards hand is a black orc standard bearer i've chopped off and added a bit of gs to give the length a powerfist usually has. i'll take some better pics once i've sorted the legs out,

however thanks for the kroeger compliment :D

I really like what you did with the baneblade, just a subtle hint of chaosness to it which I think is perfect for the Iron Warriors. Good job.

I want to comment on the yellow stripes, but I also know I couldn't do any better, so I'll just say how much I love the metal style you have going. I think I unconsciously looted it for my own IW painting.

G.Hawke

i've run out of black paint, so i can't finish them yet, hence them being shakey, and brown....

Single vindicators should be out in a week or two.

Hawke: Awesome, you're making a Lucius pattern titan. I hate the Mars pattern...Lucius looks so much more business-like.

As an Iron Warriors player/collector myself, I would like to compliment you on your marine painting! The rust effect is truly excellent. It actually looks like rusty iron, as opposed to my effort (Tin Bitz with Boltgun Metal drybrush over the top), which just doesn't look like rust.

How did you do it?

P.S. Check out my thread on how I made my warhound titan. It was an *ahem* "alternative" method :D http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116549

I like that your Iron warriors are abit dirtied up, rather than all clean and fresh.

wow of all the old logs i didn't expect to see, this is damned high up there!

thanks for the comments guys, and so you know that titan is no longer... in existance. the parts, to an extent, have been re-used.

However... in the dark something grows.... A warlord titan will soon begin construction, and i mean once that damned gargants finished. It will be even bigger and betta!

For those reading this at a casual glance, i'd direct you to the new thread here (http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134331)
