Try Eastern Fringe - they seem to have the most active Necromunda section IMHO

Honestly though, not many Necro players field Spyrers. The general consensus is they get pretty dull quickly, the models are fairly bland, and you can't take them into the Ash Wastes or use them in certain scenarios so their playability is limited.

No problem.

Honestly, if you do want to play Spyrers, I think the best way to do it is to convert/scratchbuild all the models. It could also be a LOT less expensive, considering GW_US is now selling them for about $15/mini (which, even for GW, is ludicrious pricing).

An Orrus and Patriarch could easily be converted from the new SM Assault Termies, Jakara from a female Eldar guardian, possibly Yeld and Malcadon from the male Eldar guardians or SMs. And, since the Matriarch is now OOP, your only choice would be a conversion.

Depends if you're running Old School or Underhive rules.

I recall an Old School 1000 Credit Spyrer (From an in-house campaign, no less!) that was built out of Eldar parts - the Striking Scorpion Phoenix Lord, a new head and claws. He looked pretty damned cool.

If you do wish to build your own, I'd suggest taking a gander at Imperial, Eldar and Tau parts. If you don't mind dipping into other companies, I would say that Urban War is worth having a gander at.

Or Warmachine if you fancy a crack at Steampunk Spyrers. Oh dear.

I'd guess there are very few, but not worth it. You can see the minis by themselves and if you want to talk about army lists, just make one and we'll flesh it out for ya.

Ork bits? Kinda goes against the hi-tech spyrer look, don't you think? Then again, i suppose... It would be cool to have different (minor?) noble houses sending their offspring into the Underhive. You can make some models that look very different than the official ones and as long as they have the proper kit that can "count as" the original equipment, you're set to go.

Well, there are plenty of examples if you have a look around of nicely painted Spyrers. I've posted below a few that I've come across:

In addition, I have seen a few folk who've made their Spyrers from totally different models altogether. Eldar seems to be a good base for many of these conversions, and whilst it is hard to find pix on the web, Magog77 on CMON has presented these Malcadons made from Eldar Striking Scorpions:

If you want to take the route that Eazy-O suggests, where you use a different set of models altogether and "Counts As" a Spyrer Team, you could always try making a Tyranid Killteam for them? The Gaunt genus is very versatile, and it would be quite fitting to specialise different members along the lines of the Spyrer rigs. Fluff-wise, there have been Genestealer Cults on Necromunda before, so it is feasible that a small specifically-engineered team might be sent to Necromunda to gather genetic material, test defences or gather intel. Maybe something here (http://www.hivefleetmoloch.de/kill_team.php) will inspire you?

Lastly, Caelwyn has been hard at work designing a few additional rigs and some backstory/fluff as well as special rules for running House-specific teams (there is more than one noble House!) His efforts can be seen here (http://z4.invisionfree.com/The_Underhive/index.php?showtopic=96). Well worth a read, even if it just to get the mood ;0).

thanks for all the pics and links
inspiration everywhere

the spyrers im creating at the mo are
malcadons : warp spider exarch webs and necron flayed ones claws
yelds : autarch and hawk exarch wings
orrus : exrarch warp jump generater and ork kill kan cables
jakara : new power sword and pheonix lord bits
patriarch : guns on hands , extended cables , 4 doc ock style claws walking on or climbing with

and im loving the idea on tyranid spyrers
being an insane tyranid collector myself
evolving instead of the suit parts activating
so so many niddy ideas now!!!!!!
going to base them on stealers and/or warriors

and i may even make a third low tech team totally out of ork bits
