... well its been fought!! one of the largest 40k games i've seen for many a year...

The forces of the Eldar faced off against the Imperium.. as to who won... erm.. i'm not sure on that one!!

Over 32,000 points were on the table fighting for supremacy.

Apocalypse is the most fun you can have with your pants on. Iv'e gotten in two 1 on1 games this week (4k and 6k a side), and hopefully one weekend I'll be able to do a really big game.

If anybody is running a BFG in Northeast ohio, and needs 6k of either marines or IG, let me know!

Always a good battle if you're not sure who won ;)

(is that an ultramarine Baneblade in the picture ???)

Awesome gaming board I must say. Looks like it was an awesome battle.

*Faints when gaze falls to Ultramarine BB*

Actually, thinkning about the looks of the board, be intersting to see how the bigger guns, like the BB faired in such dense terrain...

Also, what is that poor Exorcist doing all the way out there, next to two Falcons of all things?

Also, is that Stormtrooper in your link a member of the 501st?

The Stormtrooper in the pics is me!! Well the one in uniform is... the one with the helmet is the lass who works for us... As for the 501st.. they don't seem to like answering emails :(

That's a shame. You ought to keep trying if you want to get involved. Personally, I'm trying to put together a Death Star Trooper uniform and join the 501st. I love costuming!

Anyway. Crikey. It certainly was a big game. Also, good on you Word Bearer guy. You make your BB.

Ultramarine Blue 'Blades just *twitch* bring out my *twitch* suppressed inner 40K Nazi.

We've had these discussions before. In the spirit of Apoc, it is perfectly acceptable to use a Baneblade with your Space Marine force. And I will gladly play against any Marine player with a 'Blade, regardless of it's paint job.

Ah.. the Baneblade did infact belong to an IG player (infact they both did)...

Wow that Eldar player has a couple of grand (money wise) on that table, looks nice, i am trying to get all my stuff painted for a big game coming up in a few weeks.

Love the photo of the Destroyer's eye view.

I also think the huge fuel dump was nice. You needed some guys tacking cover behind the highly explosive barrels. It always worked well in 80's action movies.

Love the photo of the Destroyer's eye view.

Well... i had a plan to set a camera up in the middle of the table and let it rotate and take pics... never got round to doing it though...

That's a great board you've got there and photos from Apocalypse games are always good to see. :)

A few weeks ago we had a monster Apoc game. 42000 pts per side. Four of us as Imperials vs. one Nid player and one Chaos player.

It was a massive undertaking. We started at 930am, and by 830pm, we had finished turn 3!!

BTW, we determined that we lost by one objective.

That board looks very nice, the game looked like fun and the armies looked wow.

The only thing that puzzles me is, who was the Imperial numbnut that built a city around an Eldar warp portal?!!:angel::chrome:

Looks liek an awesome game, that Eldar webway gate is a nice bit of terrain, I wonder if there are any rules for it?

Had my first game of Apocalypse today, I managed to blow up a Baneblade in one shot and caused an Apocalyptic explosion :D (yep, one meltagun shot hit and penetrated and then I rolled 4, 6's in a row  )

The Eldar portal building looks ace. reminds me of the similarly name structure in Dawn of War.

That looks like it was a great game.

Love the pics. The game looks like it was a blast.

I have to agree with the guy who siad that it was pretty stupid for the Imperium to build a city arround a Eldar webway portal.

Also, I love the Stormtrooper armor. They are second only to Vader costumes in terms of coolness. And don't worry too much about the 501st or the Rebel Legion. All you need to do is find your local Fanforce and join up with them.

Look at all them rhino variants...

I had a battle today... only 30,000pts less. Oh goodness... Think of how many Genestealers one could get with 15,000 points...:D
(937 basic) 78 squads.
(750 w/4+SV) 62 squads.
(652 w/SV & scuttlers) 54 squads.

Now that's FUN.

I can't wait till my buddy get's back from Iraq and I get to use ALL of my nids at once. That will be an epic struggle. I will post the pictures of that!

Apocalypse fever really seems to be taking hold, some of the chaps where back in the shop yesterday talking about the next big game...

I must say though.. its certainly helping the 40K sales, but also confusing many of our younger gamers, who are just not used to seeing adults playing 40K!

i love the game because in normal i'm always in a situation where each marine is very vital but in the bigger games i can worry less.
that table is awsome and would loved to have a hero vs hero combat on it would look very dramatic
