Ok iv now been waiting about 4 weeks now for my ForgeWorld order for the new DKoK Commissars, just been on the phone to them and the guy on the phone said it may take a week or two as they havnt had the new shipment of models in. Any one els waiting for there bits????

I have been "Patiently" waiting since October 8th for 2 macharius tanks (a VMB and a Vanq) and 4 sheets of Inquisitor Brass Etched symbols. That's 4 weeks as of today. I have been witing since October 15 for another Macharius VMB.

I think the Back orders are Massive. Apocolyptic size Massive. Or Larger. It would be interesting to see thier order list since Apoc came out - I would wager that Nottingham (if that's where they are...) is trying their best to get models into the mail/courier system.

Don't try to order any of the new stuff - the old stuff can be had but it might be best to make phone orders.

The brass arrived today - Yay!

I ordered my Mars pattern warhound on 19th October. Something tells me I am going to be waiting a bit longer for it though! :cries:

Still, at least it will give me time to finsih painting my revenant, which has been on and off for a few months :o

Because everything is hand cast, they're massively behind despite having moved from a 5 day week to 7 to try to keep up.

Definitely go for phone orders over internet ones, as you should then be able to get an estimate of how long it's likely to take.

Ordered a Barbed Hierodule on October 4th, so over 4 weeks now and I plan on taking it to Nottingham in 2 weeks time for an Apocalypse game...

Not looking good better break out the pipe cleaners and play dough.

05-11-2007, 15:57
I had been told that the Revenant Titans were on a 4 month backorder since Apocalypse came out. If that says anything.

05-11-2007, 16:05
Got backordered Trygon, Renegade tank commanders and Tyranid wings two weeks late. Still waiting for DKoK Commissar and new Tau Drone flyer.

On the good side: FW gets lots of money and prestige within GW, perhaps that will teach GW ;)

I placed an internet order just over a week ago and still have not received any responses about order processing. I didn't order anything too new, just IA 5 and some cadian bits.

05-11-2007, 16:08
Yup been waiting about a month now for my tighershark AX10, promethius Land Raider, Hydra Flak tank and macharias with VMB :skull: I had assumed a fair lead time but found out over the weekend that one scrote in my block of flats is stealing and if posite left that package inside the common area with the invoice dopey tea leaf may have thought it was three hundred knickers worth of goods to fence for some diamond white. Now need to get in touch to see if it has been sent.

05-11-2007, 16:16
As has been said, bear in mind that about 95% of people who own Apocalypse have just made a massive order...

Now consider that FW probably have a staff of about 20 people (if that) to receive, cast, pack and ship all orders.

05-11-2007, 16:19
true, i was now thinking of phoneing to make a new order of stuff, but think i will wait....damn i so want a trench set....

05-11-2007, 16:52
I remember when I ordered my Hierophant, I waited 4 weeks, heard nothing. When I rang I was told the order hadnt been processed and would be another 3 weeks +. So I went to WHW, bought one of theirs and arranged to take the mail order one back when it arrived.

It arrived the next day:rolleyes:

05-11-2007, 16:54
last week i was told they had a minimum 28 day wait due to the backlog created by UKGD and apocalypse.

05-11-2007, 16:58
I'm waiting for 3 sets of Blood Angels rhino doors for about a month now.

I had been told that the Revenant Titans were on a 4 month backorder since Apocalypse came out. If that says anything.

Assuming they dont charge until ready, I might actually put one on order now. I was going to wait until after Christmas as I dont see myself getting round to painting one until I get more time then anyway... but...

05-11-2007, 19:54
I've had 2 or 3 orders in the pipeline for over 2 months now.

Some items weren't time critical others were (ie I needed them for tournies) and because of the time frame I didn't get them in time. So I rang up and changed my order to other stuff.

05-11-2007, 21:55
don't forget that some orders may have been dispatched and stuck in the postal system (like mine have been)

Don't forget that orders over £250 should be dispatched next day

05-11-2007, 22:03
I got half an order through after just 10 days. Personally i'm just going to wait until Conflict and pick up stuff in person as the postage is very expensive especialy considering the delays and the hassle of having to go pick it up when they deliver it when i'm at work, sigh:)

05-11-2007, 22:36
Don't forget that orders over £250 should be dispatched next day

Not true - from the forge world website:

We can also offer an Express Delivery option with a shipping time of 2-5 working days from dispatch to anywhere in the world

Its a fast delivery - but you are still limited to when they dispatch it in the first place.

Must have just been really lucky then if it were not for the ineptness of my local post office, i would have received both of my orders next day

my latest FW order was the 29th of october and got arrived the 30th!
it was over the 250 quid order (including 2 DKoK commisars) and delivered by UPS all way to Poland!
to clarify the miracle the order was done in the morning and was shipped the same day and arrived early in the morning in Poland, heres the log of wonder:

overall i never had to wait longer then 5 days for my orders with FW, except for once when the order ended up at my neighbour and i found the post notice among the trash of commercial leaflets.

06-11-2007, 00:12
I guess that means I'll be waiting a bit longer than I thought for my Valkyrie... :(

I happen to live in Nottingham, and GW's HQ is my local store. It's nice, but the point is you see the odd forgeworld guy about. I had a chat to one of the phone order operators recently, and between Gamesday, Apocalypse, and forthcoming Christmas, they are really having a tough time. The Forgeworld business model is built around small scale production of complex models, so with orders up 3-fold or more, yeah, they're going to have issues.

Do phone them if you can, and ask about your order if you're in doubt. I would say that the odds of a lost/missed order at this point are more likely than normal. Just make sure it's in the waiting line, and then all that's left is to wait I'm afriad.

06-11-2007, 10:38
I did a £250 order this month and apart from the DKOK Commissar I got everything in about 3 days from the order.

06-11-2007, 15:55
Reading this makes me feel sad at the minute out of my 350GBP order so far I have only received three sets of decoy launcher tau upgrades, must phone FW and hope they havent sent it for if they have the scrote downstairs has probably nicked it.

06-11-2007, 16:06
It serves you all right for having too much money! :D

06-11-2007, 16:12
This is why i love living 1 hour from a hobbytown USA they have everything i could ever order online and in bulk thank god for space wolves because not very many people in my area play them allowing me to have free rain on them and the conversion pieces.
