Does anybody know of any models that can be used as GKs or GKTs? They are a tad on the pricy side for me :p and starting to look too similar...

You could pimp up some normal marine models, and maybe use a few GK's as leaders and such.

Hope that helps

Thats what I suggest. Just use reguler marines and convert.

It wouldn't work. The amount of time and money you will spend converting those SM to look like GK they will come out just as, if not more expensive the just buying a box of GK.

The Grey Knights have a really cool distinctive look. If I was in your place, I would suggest just buying them one little bit at a time.

All you REALLY need is the correct color combination and you can legally call them grey knights. The rest is cosmetic. If I was to start them, I would use what bits I can find/trade for, and do the rest with paint. The scrollwork and details can be painted on. Characters and leaders, I would either actually buy or go to extra converting trouble.

It wouldnt cost anywhere near as much per model to convert normal sm's to look more gk'ish, all you would really need to do is paint them and if you are good at it use some gstuff or something like it.

You could have a "counts as" daemonhunters army. Might i suggest the Exorcists space marine chapter? They specialise i hunting daemons, so maybe you could work with that :P

I feel your pain I have Grey Knights in my main army as has already been suggested I'd suggest buying gradualy as the Grey Knight models are some of the most beautiful Imperium models in my opinion.

But as an alternative I've seen some good grey knight armies done with (and this came as a shock to me) chaos minitures.

Just save up slowly, that's what I did. Or, if you REALLY needed a cheap way of doing it, a space marine w/ a paper clip spear and a little GS could work, but it wouldn't exactely look wonderful.

PS: EVIL INC, colors really doesn't matter that much. I can't even see them, so why bother (for me at least)? Pure curoisity, but I kind of want to know why it's so important to everyone.

I don't think that there is an alternate model, man. Grey Knights are... well, Grey Knights. I know they cost a fortune, but buy them slowly - you don't have to get a whole army at once.

I think you'll be a much happier (if not a bit poorer) camper if you get the real deal.

Quoted For Truth. It is better to spend more money on something you will be happy with, then skimp out on it, pay less, and get much less out of it.

A number of years ago my local store had WAY too many of the old 3rd edition starter sets. The ones with a landspeeder, 10 marines, and 20 dark eldar. They normally sold for $90, but the store was almost giving them away for $40. I bought three of them, sold all the rulebooks for $15 each and filled out my Dark Eldar and space marine lines. The problem was, I have 10 extra marines left.

I just used chainswords as Nemisis Force weapons (as a NFW is just as annointed weapon that can channel a psychic force) and bits ordered some storm bolters. I bet you could do the same, except glue two bolters together to make storm bolters. What marine player doesn't have a few extra bolters?

I have a counts as GK list for my Warboss and his elite guard (pic 1 (http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/Muffdemon/gkorks2.jpg), pic 2 (http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/Muffdemon/gkorks4.jpg) and pic 3 (http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/Muffdemon/manobs.jpg)).

If you put your mind to it you can make them whatever you like.
