I have looked at the threads from various people talking about the new high elves and i still havent seen a definitive answer as to whether dragon armor makes DPs, characters in Dragon Armor and Tyrion himself immune to all flaming attacks, including Tyrion's sword.

Look in the new army book, as posting rules on the forum isn't legal.

They are immune to flaming attacks. The word "all" does not figure into it.

Look in the new army book, as posting rules on the forum isn't legal. Thats incorrect by the way, you can post exactly what it says, or else you couldn't discuss anything.

Anyway, neither of you have given an answer. Flaming attacks appear to be a special rule as well as a category (i.e. attacks count as flaming attacks - Tyrion's sword and runes of burning (i think)).

I haven't seem anywhere in the rules where it says that the underlying attacks from the flaming attack still do damage regardless of the immunity to flaming attacks.

I don't intend to be obtuse, but I just don't see the language in either the BRB or the HEab that suggests that is the case.

I understand your point.
According to the BRB, Flaming Attacks do additional damage to units that are vulnerable to such attacks, such as treemen and tomb kings.
However, why should Dragon Armor make them completely immune to a physical attack that has the additional carrier of flaming (i.e. a dwarf cannon with rune of fire). The Cannon ball is still going to do it's thing.
But it's an artifact of the ruleset that flaming attacks do not do additional damage to normal troops.

I quite agree that they are immune. I was just trying to point out how counter intuitive things can get under RaW.

Ah, well then that just depends on your intuition :)

that's correct, his "sissy" little strength 7 sword bounces off harmlessly *rolls eyes*

Tyrion can't even harm himself, assuming he ever gets to fight his Mirror Universe Twin.

Correct. The Dragon Armor rules are creating quite a ruckus at Ulthuan.net (asur.org)
