View Full Version : Inquisitor-scale Genestealer?

28-11-2007, 12:47
It's not in the Warhammer World Inquisitor Collector's Guide, nor is it on the GW site (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=List_Models&code=300813&orignav=3008081). I can't find it anywhere.

Was it discontinued? Am I going mad?

There was one, but it probablies went with the 1st major cut in the UK. It might still be on GW USA if you desperatly want one

It, along with around half the Inquisitor range (Civilians stand out in particular) was cut from the range many many years ago.

I found it for you:

Looks like it was unreleased. But what do I know? I wish they made more stuff for Inquisitor, if only so I could make awesome large-scale dioramas.

It definately was released. I have one, that I mail ordered when it was first announced in the heyday (such as it was) of Inquisitor. It's used occasionally as a hive tyrant in an all genestealer tyranid army.

edit: the one that was released was not the one you found online. it looked much better than that thing...

edited edit: here's a link i just found to one on ebay, still new in box!

good hunting.

That'll be me selling that. :D

I acquired it from the US thanks to a weak dollar.

EDIT - I meant to add: it was available for some time but was discontinued, along with about one-third of the 54mm range, in 2005. It is still possible to buy it new from some retailers who have a large stock collecting dust. GW US and some European GW Mail Order centres still have stock, but these are being rapidly depleted.

It was available for about 3 weeks and then dissappeared without trace! There are also varient heads which were unreleased and also a slightly different purestrain genestealer which was unreleased. A massive portion of the Inquisitor range was dropped ages ago, including the Tau Water Caste model, which I personally was very fond of.

Actually, it was released Summer 2004 and dropped January 2005. So it was actually available from GW for about four months. The variant head was released but was not packaged with the boxed set - you had to order it specifically from Mail Order. The other purestrain was a test cast that (as amply illustrated above) sucked all kinds of hairy posterior.

I just bid on that

Well, I've just put a second (my last, BTW) up for auction if you didn't win the first one.
