Arr there matey!

This log will most likely be extremely slow as this will be my personal army - I will do it only when I find a bit of time between commissions. I'm extremely eager to build a lot of Orky stuff, I just don't have time to do it!

The army will be Freebooter-themed visually with bitz of piratey stuff thrown here and there.

Anyways, some of you may remember my Barry ( a scale-reference ork):

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Barry/barry46.jpg

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Barry/barry42.jpg

I needed to find a quicker way of painting all these boyz, and I did.

Here's my first unit in their scratch Trukk:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/OrksTruckfull2.jpg

Anyways, I threatened I'll start the Orks after Ad Mech and hereby I stuck to my word!

Comments, opinions, suggestions and questions welcome! As is gaming help and unit composition help!

Now that are nice orks.
Do you sculpt the hats for each boy separately or do you have a special method to minimize the effort?

Hortwerth
02-12-2007, 15:57
I sculpt each boy's hat individually! Using a special method to minimise the effort :)

orks with hats....seeing the first was great....but a whole mob of those hats...
so whose the dastardly kaptain, who gave those orks an uniform....he must be a real panzee :p

Hortwerth
02-12-2007, 22:15
I can explain this - I have a kunnin' plan:

The boyz are said to band together with like-minded ones, forming lootas, burnas, bikers, or even whole klans - speed freeks are such a variation of evil sunz actually.

On the other hand, I want an army with very distinctive unit marking scheme for once!

I want to combine the two and the crazyness of everything Pirate or Ork related and over-emphasize it.

Therefore, this unit's mob is mad about his hat ( as Jack Sparrow) and all the boyz who banded with him share this obsession.

I need help naming the nob, by the way!

I have several other fixations already planned for other mobs: One with all the boyz with wooned legs, one with all the boyz blindfolded, all the boyz with hooks for one hand, all the boyz with a knife in their teeth, etc.

On top of this, every mob will have different colour (and pattern?) shirts.

And I have already planned the konvershun of the Kaptin. He was so known for wanting to be in every scrap and crying out he can't be in two places at the same time that his dok actually found a cure...

Oh, and here's the mob bailin' out of their trukk (I suppose it'll be a rare sight in a real life for them to actually get off an intact trukk)

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/OrksTruckBoyzbailout1.jpg

P.S.

I really need help naiming my Kaptin too! I'd like the name to somehow relate to me, sound very orkish and be possible to read bacwards!

Dio´Ra
02-12-2007, 22:29
do the names have to be orky :p....if not then how about the sparrows for the hat huggin obsessed orks :p

being more serious how about using true sea man slangs for your orks and making it more orky....now im not a man of the sea...but i bet there is somewhere a pirate dictionary on the interwebs.....

another krazy tought...those obsessed orks of yours dont plan to put track/wheels under a big boat and call it a baneblade do they

Oh wow! those big gus would make fantastic kans if you were up to it

How did you make them?

Hortwerth
03-12-2007, 22:19
The Steam Kans are made mostly of Defiler bits plus some IG tanks parts. All the arms and legs joints are magnetised so swapping an arm for a big shoota or rokkit will not be a problem! I also magnetised the heads so I could fit Ork heads in and have Mega Armoured boss!

Arr there matey!

Over the last few days I built 9 tiny Killa Kanz. I will only ever possibly want to use 3, and the rest will form a christmas/birthday present for my cousin. Possibly I will get him back into playing 40k again!

Anyways, tell me what yer think!

My thoughts exactly! Small round top-loading washing machines called "Frania" in here! All they lack is the two rolls at the top for pushing water out of clothes!

Great lookin' stuff, Hortwerth. I particularly like the articulated legs (kneeless kans look a little too primitive to me), and the portholes are brilliantly steampunk – but how will you paint the (doubtless extremely pleased) runtz inside?

Hortwerth
10-12-2007, 22:12
but how will you paint the (doubtless extremely pleased) runtz inside?

I'll just airbrush the kanz black and then paint the runtz's faces through the portholes. It's just their head filed and glued to the porthole inside! But shhh! Noone needs to know!

The Kans look great. Since they're 'tiny', will they be used as Nobz or something else?

Tiny means they're 55mm tall from the base bottom to the kan's lid. Since GW Kanz are on 40mm bases I suppose I can use them as... Kans, I think. Killa Kanz to be precise. The leg and arm joints are magnetised and I have a pile of quite understated rokkit launchaz made of 5mm PVC tubing and IG mortar shells plus some rivets to swap with these Big Shootaz. I have far more Orky plans for my Nobz to fill their places with some Runtz in kanz.

I don't know... I don't really need these kans now, so I shouldn't paint them now... Which makes them at the top of the list of what to expect next.

Other than that I want to make a few bikers and 2-3 more mobs of boyz, and the Kaptin!

What do you think of calling my warboss just Kaptin! Then his other half could be called !Nitpak How does this sound?

Edit: And maybe I'll call him Kaptin Nitpak!

Arr there matey!

I got so enthusiastic about my planned Warboss that I actually started making him yesterday.

As for now I it's still very WIP, but

Katpin nitpaK is coming!

To remind the story behind this model: Kaptin was so eager to get into every single fight n' bootin' n' lootin' that he was famous for roaring with anger across the field "Arr! Me can't be in two scraps at once! Leave summ of 'em fer me you bloody gitz!"
One day his Dok just found a cure: He built two bionik half-bodies and after giving Kaptin a thorough anesthetics with a big hammer he set him for a buzzsaw-armed Kan for a Proceedure.

After a period of rekonvalescentshun Kaptin! and !nitpaK were ready to fight in two scraps at the same time.

Your WIP bike is great, I'm liking the crow's nest and your Kaptain's fluff made me laugh.

Hortwerth
13-12-2007, 20:08
Thanks! that's what's the fluff behind Orks for after all!

There will be a huuge banna waving from the mast, ripped and torn and bullet-riddled, with a large Kaptin's gliff of a Jolly half-meka Orkger.

I want to add a grot to the crow's nest with a harpoon crossbow and a telescope, and another one with a beer bottle and a squigging rod sitting on the cooling boiler.

The tank behind Kaptin is a cooling boiler for the coolant for his guns - the shootas are wound with a cable with coolant. There's a porthole in the boiler where a water level will be visible, and there's a radiator on the other side as on the fridge's back.

I will add a large glyph to the front where headlamp would go and a fender in the new ork bikes style.

Well... "as good as", certainly. Are those rivets and bolts on his torso supposed to look like barnacles? Because that was what I was thinking when I first saw him: a real PotC2 look, I thought.

So you're going to cut the head in two and rebuild the separate halves bionically? Is he then going to end up with two heads or will the other head go on a different Ork?

But I really love the whole way you've approached his bionic half. I'll be nabbing that clever use of guitar wire pressed into greenstuff, I think.

Hort, just ran across this and your ork work is amazing. I have to ask you . . . how long did it take to complete each of the killa kanz that you scratched up and did you have a step by step through the process: all the legs, then all the torso's, etc.?

STOP MAKING COOL STUFF!

Sorry, don't know what came over me...

Those bionics look... right. I'm considering something similar for a Obliterator based partially on the Japanese obsession with part-machine people (see Akira, Tetsuo: the Iron Man, and Machine Girl) and, indeed, a horrendously wounded CSM Terminator who's healing through the Obliterator Cult daemon pact claiming him...

Are the heavy shootas off the Defiler?

Indeed. I have a pile of these leftover from the Battleknights and several Scorpions I did for clients. They were too large for almost everything and now I finally found a model they fit!

Thanks for both the cool link to barnacles and the abbreviation explaination. I didn't think of adding barnacles or making the rivets look so until you mentioned them. I still don't think they would look all right on the body of Kaptin, but possibly I'll incorporate this idea when making Nitpak and his ride!

I didn't take any WIP pics as this was a flowing process and I was too excited to think about such boring real-life issues as WIP pics ;)

It took me 5 days in total to build them all, so 2/day is roughly the number.

that's too cool! I officially add this to his fluff! He's hunting The Great White 'Fex and uses his double presence to kunningly surround it!

Updated Fluff:

Kaptin was so eager to get into every single fight n' bootin' n' lootin' that he was famous for roaring with anger across the field

"Arr!

They're hunting The Great White 'Fex "Morky Tick" and use their double presence to kunningly surround it!

Definately do a half tin hat and half cloth hat, will the the bionic Kaptin and Nitpick be mirrors of each other? If so then Kaptin could get half the cloth hat and nitpick gets the other half with the rest made from tin, it would look like the maddoc just cut straight down the middle and forgot to take off his hat. Or the hat could be considered so lucky that nobody has ever dared take it off for fear of being smashed by the Kap, hence the maddoc just cut down the middle.

If you wanted abit of a laugh you could make a tin-kap for you Kap-tin:p

Anyways, someone asked for a

Hat 101!

Arr there matey!

An easy 101 on making hats, be they pirate's or bushmen's!

Take a boy - I used a head with helmet I didn't want so I cut it off
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat1011.jpg

Take some Green Stuff
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat1013.jpg

Mix it until green
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat1014.jpg

Make a pea-sized ball out of it for each boy you want to have a hat
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat1015.jpg

Hortwerth
28-12-2007, 19:23
Put it on his head and roughly smoothen it with your fingers - this will form a vital part to a hat's shape.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat1016.jpg

Now onto the working area!
Flatten another pea-sized ball of greenstuff with your finger on wet smooth surface (use plenty of water)
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat1019.jpg

Until it looks like so:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat1018.jpg

Use a retractable knife to gently cut it off the surface - use small sawing moves at about 10-15deg downwards with minimal pushing - try it and you'll understand what I'm trying to describe.
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10111.jpg

Hortwerth
28-12-2007, 19:23
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10112.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10113.jpg

If you make more than 1 Ork at a time, store these discs on wet surface like so:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10114.jpg

Now take this disc and wipe water off it - make one side more dry than another. Push the dry side to the GS on Ork's head:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10115.jpg

Hortwerth
28-12-2007, 19:24
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10116.jpg

Now push it and shape roughly with wet fingers to get something like this:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10118.jpg

Now you can bend the edges using simple tools into any pattern you like: tri-corn, cowboy hat, or anything! I chose some classic Pirate hat here:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10119.jpg

Some more work later on another boy:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Hat%20making%20101/Hat10121.jpg

The bandanas are also easier to make with this technique: Just make smaller disc.

We do have a photo booth set up in the studio, with somewhat crappy 2 lights that give more heat than anything. As they're inside the booth, directed at the white walls circle-shaped it's quite hot in the place where the minis stand.

I would use the Big Daddy from bioshock as inspiration.

Care to explain what it is? I never played Bioshock.

AAARRRRRR! Now I can make my nurgle pirates. AHOY. Those kans look great. The metallics are ace, I'm always astounded at your use of the paint brush.

The metallics here are really simple: Tin Bitz on black undercoat, overbrush with Boltgun, drubrush with Chainmail, then a wash of Vallejo Smoke with washing liquid and then another with Smoke and black mixed.

I really like the yellow on the Kanz, how did you do it, wot?

It's Foundation Darksun, then Elf Flesh (some crappy local-made paint that I happen to find useful for almost anything from skin through yellow to bone to NMM gold), then watered-down white, then white on edges, followed by Golden Yellow, then washed with Orange Ink, then with Red Ink, both with washing liquid.

Hey, that was my idea.

Seriously, not wanting to highjack this thread, BUT:

I´m also building a Orc pirate army, albeit very (very) slow and for fantasy and after I saw how someone converted a Warmachine Warjack Big Daddy style I made those sketches some months ago.

Actually sculpting it will be more difficult, not only because I lack the incredible skill Hortwerth has (I can sculpt muscles nicely, but machines/mechaniks are new stuff for me), but also because of a low attention span (and spending to much time at the gym).

The fluff can be ignored, because even if you can read German, my handwriting leaves sth to be desired :p Only So much: The "Big Daddy/Mek Daddy/Bik Mekky?" is a diving suit to enter ships from below and salvage sunk booty. The grots will be "Lil´Sissies" (also known as emo grotz) and kinda peefed that the Orcs make them wear dresses (to infiltrate human settlements? Like the Zombies from Curse of the Black Pearl in dresses).

Steam powered diving suits FTW! Only Orcs can do something this awesome!

PS: I´d really like Hortwerth to do one, so I can steal all the good ideas

It's been a long time since I posted anything. I had lots on my hands with finishing the Eldar army and then re-doing a large commission that the courier lost, then was the end of the Polish 40k League and there were several large tournaments I just had to go to, which required tweaks to my Adeptus Mechanicus, then there was the DMP (translated to Polish Team Championship) where I was using Orks - my cousin was extremely kind and let me borrow his mostly painted models and update them to 4th edition and new codex...

To cut it short, I finally found some time to finish building Kaptin Nitpak!

As much as I like the Great White Fex idea I simply cannot make a whole model as an objective marker, especially not knowing is onjective markers will even be in the 5th edition!

Plus, the madder 'alf of Kaptin Nitpak! most certainly will not wear a dress. In game terms he will be bike-mounted too, but he will be even more naval-themed than his uvver 'alf!

Okey ladz, time fer sumthin kompletely different.

I've been commissioned a Krieg-themed Orks army. First up are 2 mobs of 10 and a Warboss.

Some piccies for you:

Since there will be a lot of models in need of sculpting, I prepared 10 that will form a base for further work:

The cigar seems a little smallish and a little to clean. I also feel like he should have some sort of attack squig somewhere...
I also feel that medals would be appropriate to give some oomph to his chest area.
But honestly all those models are incredible...as usual *goes off to grumble. Something about how God didn't spread the talent around enough:mad::cries:*

Hey, I initially thought about adding the medals to the chest, but I sort of... erm... forgot about it when finishing the warboss. Good point, I'll add some after the weekend.

About the attack squig... The client didn;t mention that, but now I feel he should have a "boxer dog" styled one...

Now, onto the serious business of the WIP pics of

Merely suggestions, but keep us updated!

You're thinking along the same lines as me, but no Ork boy looking out of the hatch - that's the place for Nitpak Da Unda-Kaptin!

The other half of Kaptin Nitpak, with the left side re-konstrukted, and of course the right half of his brain remaining - the more creative... or should I rather say... The one less bound by physical restrictions of the universe :chrome:

The raw power of Orkiness flowing through Kaptin Nitpak is not bound by any rational schemes as Nitpak Da Unda-Kaptin's brain dances through the green plains of his private ocean.

There will be a banner on the telescopic antenna, and a twin-linked Dakkagun with a grot gunner popping through the front hatch.

Naa, drills fer goin' unda'ground are fer 'umie wussies!

The whole point of this model is its ridiculousness. Think: the dead whale in the middle of a desert in Fallout 2. Or any Monty Python's sketch.

When I field this model I want the opponent to fall to the floor laughing.

Brilliant!! This is gorkylicious XD however where´s the hat for the kaptin himself? Ohh and the sub is really nice can´t wait for updates

Unfortunately I decided against the hat as I felt it would be over-the-top on an already over-detailed model.

Plus, once I started on his other half's ride (can I say so of underground floating vessels?) I couldn't get out of my mind the image of Nitpak da Unda-Kaptin in a hat with a cap - U-waffe style. This sort of... sunk my idea of having them share the same hat (but sawn in two)

I got a PM concerning my "primed" models:

Hello, I was checking out your wonderful Ork thread and had a question for you. On many of the primed pictures the models look almost pre-shaded. Whats causing this? Is it just the lighting of the pics? Or are you doing something like priming black then over-priming white? Just curious as it doesn't look like you desaturated the images or anything (like some of the others). This is most noticeable on the warbike boss figure.

Cheers.

I thought I'd answer here too as it is a key issue to my painting technique.

I undercoat the models with an airbrush - not a very good one, just a "heavy duty" airbrush. I use enamel paints for this.
First I go completely over the models with matt black, making sure I spray the underside of every model and base.

Then I spray the models matt medium grey (similar to Codex Grey), this time making quick passes at slightly higher air pressure and making sure I spray only from a slightly raised angle.

Finally I take a matt bone colour and just add a tad of it over the model from more or less one direction.

After these stages the models look exactly as pictured before (http://warseer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2584077&postcount=172).

After the enamels set overnight, I drybrush the models very gently with Space Wolves Grey - it picks the edges nicely and helps to use mostly diluted paint later on.

As always, I'm impressed with your work, the gas masks on those orks are superb, the whole concept is quite nifty. Im not a fan of the neon green of the skin however, I'm more a fan of the muted greens for ork flesh. Thats just nit picking though.

Update!

After a lot of work, I finally have some WIP pics of another, much larger batch of the Krieg Orks!

First up, some pics of the models prior to priming:

4 more 10-ork units of basic shoota boyz:

Mob #3:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Krieg%20Orks/Units/WIPs%20of%20batch%202/KriegOrksBoysmob3.jpg

Mob #5:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Krieg%20Orks/Units/WIPs%20of%20batch%202/KriegOrksBoysmob5.jpg

And mob #6:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Krieg%20Orks/Units/WIPs%20of%20batch%202/KriegOrksBoysmob6.jpg

I convinced the client to form them into 3 20-strong units rather than 6 10-strong units as he originally wanted.

Hortwerth

Here are the same units after priming with black, airbrushing 2 greys and bone, and drybrushing Space Wolf Grey and then applying a watered-down Fortress Grey. This forms the basis from which I get all the colours later.

I already applied the basecolour for the skin.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Krieg%20Orks/Units/WIPs%20of%20batch%202/KriegOrksmob6WIP.jpg

One mob is almost finished (barring bases and some touch-ups):

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Krieg%20Orks/Units/WIPs%20of%20batch%202/KriegOrksmob3WIP1.jpg

This mob will fill in the ranks of the white-and-black-checkers mob.

Then there's a WIP of the Painboy, who likes to call himself Da Kwarta'masta'. I didn't follow the posing or the arms of the original model as I felt it was too unorky. He got Da Skalpa' and Da Bonesaw Choppa instead! As he is a Nob basically, he's 3mm taller than normal boys (2mm in the waist, 1mm below the feet) and 2mm wider in the shoulders. Not very much but enough to stand out.

And where is a Painboss, there must be Nobz! And they take the form of Grenadier Nobz. Again, taller and wider than normal boyz, with kustom armour and facemasks, they carry entrenching tools, stabby-slashy choppas and 'uge sluggas (or shootas if they need them):

With da Painboss:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/Hortwerh/Orkses/Krieg%20Orks/Painboss/KriegOrksGrenadierNobswithPainboss.jpg

And there's more of them!

Here's the extra gear they have around:

Hortwerth
19-06-2008, 20:14
And continued: The other 5 of them

All in all they sport 3 Klaws in total which I consider a fair amount: enough to hurt but not costing an arm and leg.

Then there are Lootas. The point was to make them look mimicking an IG heavy weapons squad. I started from this point but I was unhappy with the traditional weapons layout. After all, Lootas should carry the biggest guns around.

These Lootas carry guns so big one Ork is not enough to shoot them!
i suppose a bit of open-mindedness will be required from the opponent, but they should be treated the same way as IG heavy weapons - as if there are 2 separate models on each end of the base, each with its own gun.

Note we use the bases that were somewhat damaged in casting in the studio - we can deal with it easily, and there's little waste!

Plus, it makes for bases that are different from the ones you could buy.

(This is a continuation of a large update starting here (http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116038&page=11) from post #204 onwards)

I have to say, the FW casting was of so appaling quality I would have all of these tanks barring one Centaur returned if they weren't be used by Orks. The client bought these earlier and sent them to me so I couldn't return them, and I didn't bother really as at most places I could add battle damage or a plate of extra armour. The pieces were bent as hell, too - I suspect FW is cutting $$$ on casting time and the resin is still not fully set when they pack the parts. Nothing a good dipping in a mug of hot water couldn't solve, though!

Disgustingly good work. I'm sick of you flawless sculptors making my meager greenstuffing efforts look like total piles! Do you cast the resin pieces yourself? I've had friends try casting in resin and they've all come back with terrible stories of bubbles and large mold lines. I'm guessing some airbrushing goes in to the vehicle painting? Anyways, great job. This thread is truly inspirational.

I know! Quite expensive model wise, but for any of you wondering: the Centaurs are beautifully designed! I reckon they are the nicest and sweetest FW models out there. They are small enough as to not pay your leg for them and all the pieces are very detailed in a very thought out way, and they fit together amazingly well for a resin model. The guns are terribly casted though. They have so much detail over the length of the barrel that minor mould line results in unusable gun (with resin, if the mould line is too large it usually means the mould halves do not align properly)

They are by no means flawless, sir! In fact they are a bit rushed and I know I could make them better - but they are good enough!

I cooperate with Micro Art Studio, which produces resin bases and accessories, and I can use the technology and expertise of men doing this proffessionally. It's all in the preparation of the mould, materials, hardware and the actual casting process.

I use airbrush to prime all the models, and teh vehicles are no exception. I used a heady duty airbrush though and the camo effect is created in 50% by airbrush, and in 50% by gentle drybrushing afterwards.

Thanks for nice words of encouragement good sirs!

The Grots are a mix of WFB Goblins and WFB Gnoblars. I just love Gnoblar bodies, but I don't like their heads, as they are not evil enough.

If you like these, wait until I show you what I did today! With an inspired sculpting session I made several runts for both Big Mek and Painboss. I was in too much of a hurry to take any pics, but I promise I will take and upload some on Monday!

That would be great! I'm building my Ork army soon and I really am needing some grot assistants and vehicle riggers and such. The metal ones just don't do it for me. I can't wait to see what you've got coming up!

Wow, you've done quite a lot since I last commented!

The Kreig Orks are inspired, my favourites are the squad with chevrons, the Painboy and the Lootas. Are we going to see anymore of your Freebooterz soon?

One last question, got any tips on how you do the greatcoats? I hope to do a few Freebooterz in the future too with the release of 5th Edition, and some advice on how to do the coats would be very much appreciated.

Good Lord, those are good.

I have to agree when people say that this is one of the best logs on Warseer, but quite frankly, I have come to expect that whenever Hortwerth puts minis up for public delectation.

The next time anyone says that painting minis isnt an art form, I think I'll direct them here.

Carry on, sir, and I hope that you will continue to produce these works of staggering quality for us to worship and feel wholly inadequate over!

I'm not sure if this has already come up, but are you painting/modelling for your living? You produce things so fast and to such a high standard I have to guess this takes most of your time.

Indeed. I'm very happy to be able to do what I love for a living. Even more so when a client comes and orders a Krieg-themed Ork army :D

Anyways, I did some more work since before the weekend. As the batteries for the camera went dead and had to be recharged I primed the models while waiting for them to recharge.

So, erm... Painboss's Orderlies:

Just minor conversions of Gnoblars with Goblin heads, with the exception of the one on the left who had its coat sculpted. Believe it or not, the coat took me 20 minutes to sculpt. I just fell in love with mixing greenstuff with magic sculp for such jobs!

Let's let some snotlings inside and see what it does. Let them think there's "Free Fungi" in the hole!

This is how the Snotlings base looks without anything connected to it:

Note the hose is kept with a magnet at each end, allowing an easy transportation.

Counting the one whose only legs are visible from the hoover intake, there are 8 Snotlings and 2 Grots on the base.

I wanted to do it for a long time and I finally have the possibility!
