I think he is trying to teach grammer.

While we are at it, I play Tau. Some people seem to play TAU! Everytime they type TAU, its in all caps! WHY ARE YOU YELLING! It doesnt stand for Totally Awesome Units, it doesnt need to be emphasised, its just word. Its like typing HUMAN evertime we refer to humans.

No, he's trying to explain what losing is, since so many of us refuse to admit we ever do, and throw tantrums when we face it.

Aurelien

But then why the Loose section? The comparison was what led me to make my first comment.

But if you are right:

I am a terrible player. I lose most of the time, but I have fun doing it, so who gaves a damn. Not me. Lost 4/5 games at the NZ GT, before that I lost 6/8 at the Nationals.

Had fun. Why else are we playing the game?

i suck. big time. i drew against the worst player in the tournament, who, despite repeated tellings of the rules still insists that his marines hit on 4+

He's probably been playing at GW with their 'special' rules too often ;)

I figured it was just a spelling rant. He got tired of people posting about how their marines "always loose against necrons" or something.

But I could be wrong.

On a related note:

They are rending claws. NOT rendering claws.

when you win something, it means you take it home with you.

you beat someone's army.

This is gonna turn into a flamewar as soon as the first guy with the "relax people, it's just language. As long as you can understand what I'm talking about it's cool to me"-attitude shows up.

There is NO Sentinal by the way.

I agree that many people see winning all of your games as a sign of a good general. Unfortunatly I don't. Luck aside even the best gamer should lose on a fairly regular basis due to bad luck, incompatability of armies or just meeting someone who is as good as him. To win all the time sugests that either the player is cheating or playing people he shouldn't with armies that shouldn't be played (basicaly taking on noobs with a min/maxed pile of cheese). Losing is just part of the game that some people fail to accept. There are days where things don't go for you and have to hold up your hands and admit that you made some silly moves/decisions.

I know that I consider a tournament to have gone well if my result are even, for example, 2 wins, 2 draws and two loses as at my first one.

It HAD to happen, no-one can invoke the Dark Gods of grammar and spelling without summoning the Rouge Traders.

It's just incredible so many people still make the mistakes after being picked up on them in every thread they're ever posted in.

Overall if you play against people with a similar level of skill, your record should be 1/3-1/3-1/3. If it isn't I'd wonder about:

a) your relative skill levels
b) your releative armies (always playing CC Chaos vs Tau infantry :p )
