This list is intended to be a friendly list, with varius unit types to get maximum enjoyment :D
I tried not to gimp the list too much, and i feel i will need your input to make it a force that could win lol
I mostly play against VC, Lizzardmen, Dwarfs and Orc & gobbo's.

Since you have already invested in two mages why not spend 50 points for the banner of sorcery, it's the easiest way there is to get more power dice. The banner of battle is also interesting. At 20 pts itīs is definately better than the champion of the dragon princes.

To make room for it you could drop the dragon prince champion (20 pts), the spearman champion(10pts) and perhaps two of the spearmen (18 pts) / the guardian phoenix (25 pts)

Or you can drop the shadow warriors (80 pts) and have points over to uppgrade the archers to lothern seaguard. Having spears and is more worth it than the 6" extra range.

hmm, i have been toying with the idea of taking the banner of sorcery.

I could drop the DP's champion [20] swap the Reavers SB for a musician [7] and drop the spearmens sentinel & musician and reduce the unit to 21 [24]
This will give me 51 pts for the Banner.

Thanks for your input chumchu :)

Um....BSB in one hand and in HtH the character then will use a great weapon that requires two hands?? Now, I can't find anything either way about that. However it IS spelled out that while using a great weapon which requires two hands a character cannot use a shield or another weapon. I doubt the rules writers intended for a battle standard was an exception and able to be held.;)

I'd put the characters on the white lions and change the spearmen for archers.
Also i'd get my hands on more bolt throwers, that is the one things you can't have too much really and like said, banner of sorcery is good.

I have not used a BsB with a Gw before so i was unsure, i did check it twice though and it is legal.. just silly. i will have to figure a way of modeling the bsb to show its possible lol

@ Fate
If anything i would put the bsb in the Wl unit. As to drop a mage in there i would loose a Str 6 attack.
However i want to keep the spearmen in there, they look good & i dont want to be [yet another] HE host with no spears ;)
I do want another Rbt though, i just dont want to loose an interesting unit like shadow warriors or reavers for it. Any ideas?

Its an argument i have passionately held once. Theoretically, a black orc BSB (initially not existing but being erratated in) comes armed to the teef. htis edition theres no rule stating the army banner takes a hand, rather the bearer is limited by being unable to take the additional items....

So, a balckorc starndard bearer can apparently carry two handweapons into combat, or a great weapon.

I reacon this time around the highelves new format failed to mention the restriction.

Well i suppose its the same way a SB in... lets say a unit of Sword masters still has Str5 attacks... he doesnt have a Great wep As he has a standard.

He uses the standard as a great wep, or thats what the model implies with the bladed top 'n all.

Well the 2 bad things i see there is the spearmen and the eagle. You want to have a bit of everything which i respect although i prefer to specialise. ;)

So are you suggesting i drop the Spears for another archer unit and take what in its place?
I dont see why so many dont use them, it does make a good center for the army when everything else is so fragile & small :S

Edited list to include minor changes

idk upon looking at it a bolt thrower most of the time wont earn its points back unless you playing against big creatures, altho they may be useful at killing some gunners :/ and knights

Yeah, get bolt throwers, they are good, i would never field an army with less than 4!

Also you overrate the spearelves. What good center do they make? They don't have strenght to kill anything that will charge them and belive me, when they get charged, they'll die horribly quick.

Your army list is actually only 1686 points... I don't know how you got nearly 2000... But that should free up points for you to add whatever you want.
