View Full Version : Madness Tour

I went to the Liverpool concert for Madness, did anyone else here? I'll tell you, I've never seen so many men dancing together outside of gay bars on television. It was a standing gig and a moshpit decided to suddenly appear in the front of the crowd where I was standing.

Such classics played were Our House (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEdZrV0j6zM), Night Boat to Cairo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSTHMxBttlU) and a few newer songs like Lovestruck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnPApk34gMQ). Everyone new the words to Wings of a Dove (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VahMbHOBwu0) and plenty of people had come dressed for the occasion in black and white suits, some even in those turban-y hats for Night Boat to Cairo. Some people even brought umbrellas to wave around for the Sun and the Rain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPhQZWQmTPc).

Some people weren't ready for the atmosphere of a standing gig, as one woman standing next to me was visibly annoyed at all the middle-aged men jumping about during Baggy Trousers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJOLwy7un3U) (Yes, the saxophonist was attached to a rig so that he could fly above the heads of the band during the chorus!) and left at some point around Embarrassment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQbcpCp57Eo) was being played.

Anyway, except for the few who had a bit too much to drink (When the jumping and dancing started at the beginning of every song, someone lost their pint of cider as it was thrown into the air. I got soaked twice!) it was a great night for all. So, did any of you guys go, or have gone to previous venues of the tour or are planning to go to a later venue?

Sadly, Driving in My Car (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9IMlCOX3kU) was not played. :cries:
