View Full Version : BSCDD arrrrgggghhhh!!!

Ok so this one's for the techies here on Warseer, and I'm sure we all know what the BSCOD is ;)

Anyway I keep getting a BSCOD with this err message -

Stop 0x000000FE 0x00000008 0x00000006 0x00000005 0x85E6C2F0

Well that's the relevant bits anyway...

It happens usually when I have my conexant c800t video/tv card from geniatech in the pcmcia slot, and my Huawei E220 USB HSDPA modem in one of the usb ports, but only after I remove the tv card, I have to restart and then remove the card because the safely remove hardware option says the card is still in use and I can't find what is using it :wtf:

I have read elsewhere that possibly I should update my usb drivers as they may be corrupted but I'm running vista and the update drivers option in device manager doesn't work - it just finds the ones it's already using (generic windows vista drivers) so I don't have any ideas how to do that - I'm using an Acer Aspire 9300 if that helps...

Both devices are vista compatible (apparently)...

Any ideas how I can stop the BSCOD happening? Its getting really annoying

Thanks in advance for any help/advice :)
