Chaos

Well, I started 40k in summer of 06 and I painted like, 6 dudes. I've recently decided to back on the bandwagon with a new army, and a project log to keep me motivated.

Yesterday I went to the store fully intending to get 'Nids or IG. I flipped through their Codexes and was thinking pretty strongly about 'nids. I kept looking and if I'd had more money I likely would have bought the Orkz Spearhead and the new Codex. It's seriously nice. Then the new Chaos models struck my attention and I knew they were it. I picked up a Chaos Terminators box and a Chaos Space Marines Attack Squad Box to kick me started.

Today I assembled the first 5 CSMs and made up my army list.

HQ

Chaos Lord
Terminator Armor, Mark of Khorne, Personal Icon, Daemon Weapon

Elites

5 Chaos Terminators x2
Reaper Autocannon, 5 Powerfist

Troops

10 Chaos Space Marines x2
Heavy Bolter, Rhino

I still might change the last squad of CSM to Khrone Bezerkers. Not sure.

ideas for a colour sceme?

I'm going to do a test model today and find a color scheme I like. Red with some kind of trim though.

The first model is done. I tried doing him red but it just wasn't working out. So I covered it up and went with a variation on Black Legion. I'll be able to mix up the gold/silver all over the place on each model.

The bolter and mouthpiece/tubing are my first inkwash. I know the pictures aren't great but hopefully by the end of the log I'm a pro!

I like what you did on that guy, the different trims on either side look really good like that.
