If you do can you tell me if it has the red and white sound conector ports, as it has component video for HD with my 360 but it does not say if it has the ports for the red and white cables and you need them for sound.

That's funny; we just got one of those for one of the rooms.
It comes with a cable so that the red and white sound cables both plug into the audio in.

pretty much any TV comes with the red and white jacks.

I got a 42" Samsung HD LCS.

It got Phonos, 2 Scarts, Progressive Scan and HD input.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I've a quick question that's on a similar vein. I've been looking into buying a new lcd tv (my brother destoyed my old crt in an accident), but don't know how much difference the refresh rates make (namely 50 or 60 hz). It's not that bigger issue, but I prefer to play my games at 60 hz, and some games such as Metroid Prime 2 only play at this rate. I am getting conflicting messages about whether this is a problem for lcd screens, and as such don't know whether to buy certain ones or not (as all the ones I've looked at seem to say 50 hz). To sum it up I suppose, would this:

suit my needs?

Funny but I've got a question about the same television.
On the Wharfedale, I'm using component for the Wii and I've entered those settings.

It looks much sharper but I'm getting black bars at the top and bottom.

Any ideas?

It's probably a function of the TV aspect ratio of 16:10, heritage of it being a computer display with a TV tuner, and the Wii outputting 16:9.

I figured that out last night when I flipped trough the input list.
Thanks for the confirmation. :)
