View Full Version : Warmachine forces

A while ago I purchased my first models for warmachine. I really like the feel and the background. I just based them, a cryx force, cygnar force and some pirates. I haven't taken many pictures yet. But I did finally found a way to base my stalker. And also tried my first time in making something of greenstuff.

Very cool! That base is going to look great painted. Very dynamic pose!

I also know from personal experience what a b!tch that model is to pose - really needs to be pinned if not in a display case!

Best of luck - most of the cryx stuf is beautifully done - any thoughts to colour scheme? I went for and all over bone colour with dark brown/black shading to bring out the detail - a bit different, seemed to fit.

I bend the pin forward so the model doesn't lean that far back, more menacing to the front. Actually made it during telephonecalls at work. But it is a real B*&#$tch model to secure it to a base. But one of the best sculpts I've seen. Actually , warmachine (and especially the new pirates) keep me from doing anything with my GW stuff.

About a colourscheme. I'm still not quit sure wich way to go. I like the dark colour they normally have, with would do it more corrodet. On the other hand, I test painted some dark elves blackguard some years ago, with white armour. And it does look more disturbing. Maybe a combination of the two.

I'm so happy with my new phone. It takes great pictures. Here are two of my (almost) finished Cyngar jacks. They need a good basing.

I also got some cryx chickies done. I tried some dynamic poses. Hope it worked out well. Still trying to figure out a paintscheme.

When I look at the the last picture, I picture it flying over the terrain while making a noise like the Jetson's car.

looking good so far, really liking your paint scheme on the Cyngar jacks any idea on how you are going to base them

nice looking stuff.

One thing to bear in mind is that Dryx death bunnies are super weak on the joints between foot and knee. I recently reposed all mine that had legs in the air as being flat (both feet flat on base) The pistons always snap, and three of mine have completely resculpted pistons made of plastic rod and copper tubing.

Nice looking cygnar stuff though!

I noticed, though nothing was severly damaged. Reminds my of the ankle joints of the tau battlesuits. I bent some of them as carefully as I could. But thanks for the info.

Just started with the base of my stalker. Still somewhat in progress.

Cool, a Warmachine painting log! Nice stuff. What paints do you use? P3 have Armor Wash (I miss Citadel's Armour Wash, so this will be my replacement:)). I think the charger aspecialy might benefit from a layer of this paint on the metal areas. The electric parts are excellent.

I actually use normal GW paint. I haven't used any armorwash, since I want a nice clean crips look for my cygnar. I'm busy with my next two jacks and warcaster. They're work in progress.

Just got around on starting painting my stalker. I just saw that the copper really looks like goldleafe in the picture. In the real it's darker. And I still have to paint the black areas. I kind a like the colourscheme for the Vorlon encountersuits (babylon 5). I hope I can pull it off.
