Well we all know how sickenly expensive ogryn models are. So who would have a problem with orks converted into them? Anybody? I don't really like the idea of paying 100 for ten models when I could pay 18....

Orks would be way to small. If you want cheaper Ogryns convert plastic Ogre Bulls.

rather use ogre kingdoms - they are more suitable IMO

orks are bit too small

edit:too late ;)

But where would I get their guns?
Edit: What about ork nobz? They're bigger.

I've seen many methods. If you're playing Cadians you'll have an abundance of spare Comm-Links and Grenade Launchers, both of which can be spliced together nicely into a Ripper gun. :)

But where would I get their guns?

I have seen ork guns used and I have ordered the metal ogryn guns as bits off the GW web site and used them on the fantasy ogryns.

I use FB black orcs, with random human heads out of our club's bits box ( I didn t render the guns for ogryns are counterattackers for me and therefore don't shot anyway ).

Not a bad idea. I always felt that Ogryns were to big.

Go for it!

Having an easily recognisable arch enemy in your ranks, doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Fantasy Ogres are an acceptable substitute with some conversion.
