Hi there and welcome to my first log and what will hopefully become my first army - Blood Ravens.
Now I haven't been in the hobby for that long and I don't exactly live in a very hobby orientated area; no GW store on the continent (AFRICA).

So awhile ago I bought some SM and partially painted them up in Dark Angel colours, but now with their new codex fairly recently out and me being somewhat stingy and didn't feel like forking out the extra cash on an army that I wasn't that interested in; so the painting stopped.
But awhile I was reading through and old WD and come across the Blood Ravens Index Astartes and I fell in love.

So here I am, hopefully at the beginning of an enjoyable time.
But just to let you know this isn't going to be one huge army, probably only about 750 pts. or so; the reason for this is that I am wanting to move over to more of a fantasy setting like mordheim (that's where the odds and ends come in) and I'm not wanting to waste all that money, so I am wanting to fully paint the BR so I can have at least one full army before I go over to a skirmish size game setting.

Here is the begining of the 1st squad:

Sorry about not having an image but the computer I am on at the moment is rather old and is not letting me click on those options.

Here are a few bits I picked up yesterday that I will eventually be using for mordheim:

In there blisters-

Out of there blisters-

D&D - Chaos Troll-

Dark Sun - Tembo-

Crucible - DemonBane #1-

Mordheim - Dark Souls-

Will try and get photos up as soon as possible and sorry for the inconvineance(sp?)

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Hi again

Did a little bit of painting on the Veteran Sergeant:

This is definitely a situation where the real thing is far better than the photo.
The Sgt's helmet and cape is going to be bone; have not decided on a colour for the sword yet. Any ideas?

Here is also the almost compulsory workbench photo:

I should be able to get some better pics up fairly soon.

Thats quite a sergeant, guess your amry likes their ornaments. If your sergeants are that snazzy I cant wait to see your commander.

Thanks for the replies

@Triggerdog: My commander wont actually be a commander; he is going to be a librarian as the BR are very much into knowledge collection and I think that librarians most represent that. Hopefully similar to but obviously nowhere near as good as Commander Y's

Seen Here:

There aren't going to be any updates for a few days since I'm going a way for the weekend and wont be taking any stuff with to paint, but I promise that I will do my best to get some pics up soon.

See you soon.
