Greetings warseers,
Having scanned the forums for an answer to this small dilemma but finding only two threads on wight blades and killing blow being part of the magical weapon effect...

I need to verify that magical attacks, such as daemonic attacks or attacks made wearing the the amulet of light are NOT reduced to mundane status by things like the talisman of saphery or the chaos runeshield.

It's important to clarify this as it would then be a melee way to bypass the folariath's robe/ talisman of saphery archmage combo and the apparent spectral/magic weapon negating vampire combo that is upcoming.
Cheers.

Daemonic attack etc. are not magic items, thus they are not affected by things affecting magic items (such as Chaos runeshield).

It would depend on the item negating the magical effects.

Daemon attacks are magical but are not magic weapons. Similarly daemonic gifts are an inate ability and do not count as magic items.

An item negating an effect will have a specific wording as to what it affects.

All magic weapons are magical and make magical attacks.

Not all magical attacks eminate from magic items/ weapons.
