Dwarfs of Karak Izor.

Karak Izor 500.

General.

Hero. (Kazrik Braybak).

Thane with a great weapon, runic armour (master rune of gromril) and a runic horn (master rune of challenge) = 119. (Goes with warriors)

Core Units.

*19 dwarf warriors with shields, a musician and a standard bearer = 186.

*10 quarrellers with great weapons = 130.

Special Units.

Runic bolt thrower (rune of burning) with an engineer = 65.

= 500.

I think that you are tying too much into a war machine, especially with the engineer, for a 500 pt game. The bolt thrower may not always be reliable for use (i.e. against skirmishers, etc). I would opt for the cannon instead, IMO. However, for 500 pts, I would probably skip the war machine all together IMO.

Keep the bolt thrower, and the engineer. They're far better in smaller game.
A cannon would cost 90 or more. Most like 125, since you want RoForging on it.
Other than that, there really isn't much you can do to change the list. Although, I'd probably just give shields to Quarrellers instead of GWs, and put a Veteran in warrior unit.

The bolter is fine for shooting, but your main problemb now is that you have only 2 units. Quarrelers are mainly shooting, yes, but they can also flank anyone who is hacking at your warriors. Id take out the bolter and reduce the heroes points a bit to add a cheep 10 warrior flanking unit. If you scratched around a bit more you could make them quarrelers instead.
