Just started a SoB army. Wanted to do some more background reading. Anyone read this? Opinions?

I have it and thought it was really good. It details a lot of what goes on in the Sisters behind closed doors.

They're my first army and I try to buy or get ahold of as much background stuff as possible. :)

I also read it some time ago. Was decent reading with some nice background info. Perhaps not a masterpiece, but entertaining.

I'll second Mr. Patriot here, a very enjoyable read.

Plans for a sequel after his BA books apparently.

You haven't met Mkerr yet in the witch hunter tactica thread...No offense to you, The Patriot.

None taken since he and I have a passion for the Sisters.

My opinions...the overall plot is a bit cheesy and the writing's not first-rank brilliant, but it's perfectly reasonable and, as has been said, gives a decent insight into the Sororitas' inner workings.

I liked it a lot. Almost made me start up a Sisters army.

Alas, all the metal kept me away.

I enjoyed it alot. Not the best book out there, but worth the read.

I did enjoy it; the plot was not so bad, and the parts where the Sister's fought as an army were very evocative of 40K. I would also recommend the first Grey Knights novel, IIRC it has some Sister's in it.

Right, quite a bit of it, and even in a playable composition (see Tactica thread, with assassins, Seraphim, etc.). And the novel Grey Knights is also one of the best 40k novels out there.

"Faith and Fire" is a really cool novel... Except it is not.... If fact several things are quite awful (some plot schemes and situations) but nevertheless this is the best source for Sisters and I personally liked it very much....

I enjoyed the novel. I liked De Hayn (or whatever the villian's name was) and his monumental scheme. Kept me reading. I'd recommend buying it.
