Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me create a list of different non-military Imperial ship types. I'll take anything I can get, but I'm hoping to use as many official references as possible and then later complement these with plausible alternatives from the real world (and mostly the age of sail, I suppose)

Off the top of my head, I can think of
- Freighter (BFG)
- Carrack (BFG: Armada)
- Galleon (BFG: Armada)
- Bulk clipper (Eisenhorn, I think)
- Sprint trader (Eisenhorn)
- Jump tender (Ravenor?)
- Super heavy barge (Eisenhorn)

Maybe the Dark Heresy publications have more information, I haven't really had the time to look into it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also interested in any special kinds of ships, such as nullships and black ships (though I am obviously aware of those two types :D )

There's also a bunch of semi-military ships:
Armed Freighter
Escort Carrier
Q-ship (hidden weapons freighters)

Thanks. The latter two are just general categories, not specific ships. The BFG: Armada book uses galleons and carracks as examples of super heavy transports. The Forge tender and fast clipper are interesting though.

Rogue Traders
* Rogue Trader Cruiser
* Xenos Protection Vessels
* Armed Cargo Vessel
* Recommissioned Vessel
* Auxiliary Vessels
Rogue Trader Cruisers are obviously military ships, xenos vessels are not Imperial, and the rest are just general categories of ships, not specific types, I think.

Yes, I saw those in BFG and BFG Armada as well, but as above, they are categories of ships, not specific types. Also, I'm looking specifically for non-military ships. But thanks anyway.

Anyone else? :D

years ago there was a ship known as the Galaxy Class troop transport ( as per the Space Fleet Game), although im not sure this helps/is what you need.

I believe there is an escort (Iconoclast?) that is widely produced in almost every ship yard, so although it's not in naval service, a few will be produced for merchants and what not.
