JUst wondering really, i mean i appreciate in an Imperium of a million worlds its going to be hard to say exactly, but what do people see the general level of education being? are people exclusively educated for their role? if so how are these allocated?

i personally can envisage a ruling elite being alble to study ancient history and other subjects allowing them to make witty and polite conversation while banqueting and so on, safe in the knowledge that theyre going to inherit/marry/ whatever. while below in the hive/down the road in the peasent villiage theres very little, perhaps some instruction in the imperial creed an minimal knowledge required to carry out their function.

Any thoughts? agree? disagree?

i think it would depend on the planet because most planets of the imperium are different in some way.

The answer to all of the "X in the Imperium" threads is:

It varies! Make up your own! Rule of cool!

Indeed. The education level on the world your personal Guard army/Marine chapter/Inquisitor/Sisters convent/whatever hails from is whatever you say it is! Be creative!
