Hey everyone,
I'm gonna give my log a new start. Not really good at the whole internet thing, so please go easy on me. I'll be featuring some different stuff. Mainly 40k and fantasy, but maybe some terrain and Space Hulk as well. c&c always welcome:)
first a showcase to see where I stand now. I deleted the older crappy pictures and posts. Up to a new start.
After that I'll randomly add more units.

I still have trouble making decent pictures, I had never thought it would be that difficult. So first up will be my Orc's and goblins, vampire counts and Space ork armies.
let me try to post an image, too see how that works again

SUCCES!!
I figured out how to do the image thing again. These are some snap shots of my orc and goblin army. It is mostly a revamp of my very old orc army and some new units. I keep adding new units from time to time. More on that later

So I thought why wait untill morning? These Bad Moon space orks are sort of a side project at the moment. Although i do feel the urge to paint some more of these.

It's just to see how far i stand with my projects. After that I'll randomly paint and add new stuff. Mostly to clean out the closset.

hey everyone,
I thought that before going to the christmas drink at work I could post some pics from my Witch Hunter army. I've been working on it for some time. Every year I add some units. Hence the difference in paint jobs. Latest additions are Saint Celestine and the Grey Knights.
Next up will be another chimera to transport those arbiters. But more on that later. Here are the snap shots:

Before going to bed I thought I might post a few pics of my VC army. As you can see I am a sucker for GW's red period. You can find that color on every model I paint. The VC are more of a side project. Currently I am building some zombies. Some pics of those soon.

I have a question. Is there any way that this tread can be moved to the random project logs section? Who can I contact over such a request?
could someone help me with this?
thanks in advance;)
biginbelgium
19-12-2009, 12:46
okay, so there are more then 500 views of this thread and nobody can give me an answer to my question? It would be very helpful, as this thread clearly has a place in the random section.
Ok, we left him dangling long enough ;)
Request at the mods. Simply pm one of them. You could do this via the helpdesk, which shows at the bottom of the main page, if you are logged in.
Nice collection, btw. I like the orcs a lot. Very classic take on them, which is always good if you ask me. And the undead are cool too!
Maybe you could make some more shots of single minis or units?
Cheers
And keep it up!

Thanks very much Bart, I'll be sending the pm right away.
The orcs are a favorite of mine too, I'll see if I have some time next week for some more individual shots.
For now some pictures of my Death Guard. I have always used a lot of daemons in my DG. Now I use them occasionaly as lesser daemons, but also as a pure daemon army as well.

A lot of stuff in this army was painted years ago. My favorite is the great unclean one. I found it in a bit box with the arms missing. The sword is of an old daemon prince and the arm and tongue were my first attempt at sculpting.
The arm and tongue were later found and I used those bits on the dreadnoughts.
Have a nice evening and untill next week!

WOW, To begin with i wasn't very sure about this log but i love the painting on the witch hunters and those nurgle tanks are the dogs private doodads!
EDIT: same time post and now that i see the last of those pictures all those nurgley things are beautifully disgusting!

Hey everyone,
just thought I should post some pictures of my renegade guard army. It is a project I just started recenty. Really easy color scheme, again I use a lot of red in the models.
It just strikes me as a aggresive color. Detail and squad markings will be added when I know how i will use this army. I want to paint some more before deciding.

Ow lovely stuff! I like the orcs & goblins and the nurgle the most (got those armies myself)! Your figures look really colourful and would look really good on the tabletop I think!
Where do you live exactly? We play in Kontich (Antwerp) mostly.

Thanks for the compliments. There are a few things I would like to improve in the future. Most importantly I need to put some more work in my basing. It is still very basic.
And i also hope to make some more conversions in the future. Most of the stuff is straight out of the box combined with some bits.
Shadowhunt3r, sorry but I forgot to change something. I recenty moved back to Tilburg after finishing uni in antwerp. I used to live in the Nationalestraat for a couple of years.
Although I would love to move back in the future.
I do come to Antwerp once in a while to visit friends and go out for a beer. Where do you play? In the store or in 'de'n outpost'?
Have a nice new years eve everyone. Keep your fingers safe!!
Next update will be soon. Renegade squad almost finished, after that I'll paint some marauder horseman for a new project.

I must say that there are some seriously impressive looking armies in here. It is great to see fully painted armies and even better when they are well painted and have a great theme. All I can say is you must have the patience of a saint to paint so many models.
I think my favourite so far are your Fantasy Orcs, very 5th edition. I love it!
Keep up the good work and I look forwrad to seeing more.

Thanks Spikedog, i must say your projects look pretty sweet too.
My year started really....drunk, but still i managed to get a game in this weekend. We played one of the scenarios from the Albion campaign book, the one with the ogham stones. I must recommend it. Really good and challenging scenario.
My Orcs put up a good fight, but in the end the High Elves won. Highlight was when my night goblins won and chased Eltharion the Grim after 4 rounds of combat:wtf:
I also finished my new squad of renegades.

So my wip for the moment are some chaos space marines. I want to have some diversity and not only nurgle marines for the Chaos army.
These wip marines are somewhat a tester. They are supposed to be Hakanor Reavers. I like the idea of rogue marines with no specific allegiance.
The champion was painted a while back. I'm not really happy with the bone parts yet. What do you guys think?

I'm impresed by the amount of figures painted and by the high standard.
My favorite army is your O&G I really like the look of them.
I miss the good 'ol days of monsters with red nails and and the growing of bright red wood to be made in to weapons. It was a more colourful time. :)

Hey there! Thanks for the comment in my log. So you are participating in the Frenzy as well, no? Which army will you be deploying? I surely do not hope your Renegade Guard... That would put mine to shame! :P
Anyhoo, nice log, very eclectic. I like that. I thought I posted a comment here before, but I guess I didn't. I should've though! Keep it up, looking forward to seeing more.

@gomezaddams: thanks a lot man, the sisters were my first 40k army. Some more shots of them will come eventually, allready working on some new stuff, anything in particular you want to see?
@daniel36: Did you have a good time at the Frenzy? I didn't participate in the tournements. We just checked out the the stands. Bought the plague ogryns from forgeworld, wich was nice. Then me and my friends did some 40k in the bring and play area. How was your tournement? Will you post some kind of report?

Those Grotz are the coolest!!
Yeah, I had an okay time at the Frenzy. I did get a bit of a headache during the second game, which lasted all day. But all in all, I had some fun battles.
I will post a couple of pics once I feel brave enough to photoshop them all to size. I'm a bit busy now.
So did you have a good time? Started work on the Plague Ogryns yet? (I wish I had some!)

yo daniel,
good to hear that you had an okay time there. I had expected more of it, but no complaints really.
Work on the plague ogryns has not started yet. I must say that they are more impressive than on the pictures on FW site.
The grotz are finished though. These are just the start of what will be a somewhat larger unit in the future.

So here is another update. Just finished another squad of renegades. This is allready the fourth squad, and luckily I'm still not tired of painting them.
Again squad markings are missing. I will add them later, after some playtesting.
While painting I listened to one of the Black Library audio books, Heart of Rage by James Swallow. And I must say that it was not unpleasant. Some of the sound effects were a bit dodgy. But overall a good and fast action story.
In the future I'll be doing some Blood Angels, and this book got me in the mood for it.

Your painting style is also progressing with each army, which is awesome!

Thanks Putty and Lord_of_end_times. You guys aren't doing a bad job yourself.
The leadbelchers are sort of finished for now. I used them in a game last week and they didn't kill a single high elf with their cannons. Not a good start for the ogre mercenaries but will give them another chance I guess.

Crisp looking Orks!
Just a tip about the Lava crack effect,
To have them really look more orgasmically awesome (the work you have done is already awesome), go over some parts with a little bit of red ink so you have more tonal variety (don't need to blend, just dab a little). And use a smaller brush to sharpen (and tidy up) some edges with black so you have a really sharp looking fissure crack effect.
Nonetheless awesome work so far!

Here is a 'small' update, the night gobbo boss is done. Gotta love those latest goblin heroes. I think they have a lot of character.
Also started working on a unit night goblins for my new hero to lead. It will be a mix of the latest night goblins with some of my old metal night goblins I dug up from my bit box.

Evening everyone,
today I had a day of from work. Went to town with the wife, get her something for her birthday. When we got home I really wanted to finish some models.
So I dug up some wraiths in the bit box and painted them up for the vampire counts army. Really simple paint scheme. But hey..they are ghosts.

Wow, so much stuff, all over the place...reminds me of someone.
You have way more painted, though.
The Grotz are fantastic (the checked pattern on the one guy's bandana is insane), the Ogres are lovely, I really like the blue tinge on your Wraiths, the Sisters army is more than impressive and the green on your Death Guard is really unique and has a great effect.
Keep it coming!

good day,
it has been a while, last week I finished my masters degree. So that took up most of my spare time. Today I finally got the feral vampire done.
The model was a lot of fun to paint. I did take the easy way and used a lot of the washes on this model.
I also got some work done on the night gobbos. They will look very much the same as the first unit.

Hey everyone,
it has been a while. Real life is a bit hectic at the moment, graduating and buying a house takes up more time then I anticipated.
It took a while longer to finish the second unit of night goblins. Nice mix of old and new models. The Renegade sentinel is very close to completion as well.

hey peeps,
the renegade armored sentinel is sort of done. I guess there is a bit more detail work to do. But for now it is finished , I have the urge to start on other models so.
Really nice kit from GW. I'm a big fan of plasma weapons so that's the reason the model is fitted with a plasma cannon. I also used brass etch from FW. Really nice stuff to work with. For the rest I tried to keep the model simple, and in line with the other models.

I've also started to clear out some bit boxes. In the first one I found some bats. I painted these up for warhammer quest, I also found some more critters, a pump wagon, sisters of sigmar, another hero on giant squig  and Grimgor Ironhide with a command group.

Thanks Bravey I do my best..sometimes. haha thanks.
Still I got something done. A pump wagon to be precise. Also our group has fired up a campaign for this summer. This gives me a reason to paint up some more Chaos marines. First up are some plague ogryns that I can also use as spawn.
The campaign puts me up against Eldar, ultra marines and Imperial Guard. Lucky enough I won my first match against the guard. I'll try and make a few pictures of our games.

Hey putty and daniel, thanks for the kind words.
Yeah it blew up pretty fast. Remember in spearhead a super heavy gets a penetrating hit at the start of the game. so..
A few days ago I played my first 8th edition game. Greenskins against high elves. New rules worked out fine. I wasn't too happy about my rock lobber losing the ability to negate armour saves. But then again i got a lot more hits, it worked great at taking out hordes of spearmen.
I also fielded my Night gobbos as a horde of 60 with some characters. And i must say it was rock hard. The big un's with spears were also amazing.
Charging was much easier and a lot farther then before. I had my orcs charge a length of 14 inches , seriously wow.
Those were just first impressions. Not too bad so far.
have a good weekend!

hey everyone, just a small update.
Still working on several things at once. The havocs and the vehicles are comming along nicely.
But since the first game with 8th edition i must say I'm kinda hooked. My warmachines did pretty well so I decided to get some work started on a second Rock Lobba. Just finished the crew.
I also had my first 8th ed game with my vampires. Very cool battle against beastmen. Although losing my general in the 3rd turn didn't help. The thing I liked was how offensive vampire magic started to work better for me. I also noticed that the horde formation didn't really work for my skeletons.
Anyway a few pics of the new crew and then off to bed.

hey everyone,
just an update of tonights work. Tomorrow I'll have a battle against High Elves. And I really feel like getting my Vampires out for this occasion. So when I got home from work, I had a nice dinner, kissed the wife and then went into a building frenzy.
This is what the table looked like:
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj119/biginbelgium/vampire%20counts/IMG_3288.jpg?t=1281567617
I managed to build a unit of 29 ghouls to go with the strigoi:
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj119/biginbelgium/vampire%20counts/IMG_3285.jpg?t=1281567883
Also put a necromancer on a corpse cart:
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj119/biginbelgium/vampire%20counts/IMG_3287.jpg?t=1281567932
Furthermore I'm working on a vampire battle standard bearer, a hero on a nightmare, some zombies, black knights and I'll try to create another corpse cart from some old undead bits.
I'll make some pictures of the armies tomorrow.

Hey everyone, last thursday i played my third 8th edition game. I played vampires against high elves. It was great fun for the most part. The magic fase was a bit double sided.
We played the scenario from the great book where you need to capture river crossings. The rules for terrain were funny enough. Out of the four turns I managed to roll bad for power dice in three of them. I mean really bad. First turn 2 power dice, also in the third turn 2 pd and in the fourth turn I rolled 3 pd.
The second turn was cool. 11 pd, managed to cast Wind of Undeath 2 times wich was a real game winner( killed 2 bolt throwers.
His magic fase was much better using fire lore. We had great fun ending up in a draw with both of us capturing 1 crossing.
Also the Vargulf was kicking ass.
I took some pictures of his army. You allready know what mine looks like.

Hey everyone, no new pics yet. The skeletons and Havocs are almost there.
I do have some pics of a battle between Space Orks and my mate's Eldar.
@nedsta, thanks I do my best.
@Napalm, thanks the O&G are a favorite of mine too. The idea of the banner was inspired by someone else his log. Although his was pointing down. Kinda changed that a bit.
@EmperorNorton, I asked my friend, according to him it's a generic high elf wizard done by Jes Goodwin in a time long ago. Not by a particular company.
So last thursday we played a battle between Eldar and Orks. We had a nice table with a large trench system. We played 1115 points. The game was really great. All units were able to claim objectives and there were four of them.
The battle really went both ways. We both got into each others deployment zones and managed to scare each other away again. For me the killa kans did wonders in paricular, his unit of the match have to be the warp spiders with autarch. Anyway some pictures to give an impression:

Hey everyone,
just a small update. Quickly finished the skeleton spearmen. I now have a unit of 30. Might not deploy them all the time but it gives me some extras in case I raise some during a battle.
A week from now I'll start a bigger project. I'll get the keys to my new house. Updates will be even less frequent for a while as you will understand.
Moving does have the advantage that you find stuff again. I found part of my old BFG fleet. I'm considering if I should give it a whole new paint job or if I will just upgrade the existing one. Maybe add a few sails to the kroozers, to get a more freebooter theme? Now I just have to find the box with the rest of the fleet, but hey.. all in due time, enjoy.

Those skellingtons are rather nice. The red really pops, while the light blue gives them a somewhat ethereal quality.
That Bat-rep SCREAMS awesome! The brightness on the eldar and the orks together makes my eyes steam, not that that is at all a bad thing! Keep it up on the tight VC skeletons, to!

Evening everyone,
just a quick fix for you guys. Was at a mates house the other day and I took some pictures with my phone. These are my archenemies the daemon prince Inxentas and his right hand Captain Belial. They are old models my mate uses in his Night Lords army. Can't keep track of the times I slayed that Daemon Prince. He must have the worst luck in the whole 40k universe.
My other mates Space marine army has a veteran sergeant in it with a thunder hammer. That sergeant alone has banished the DP at least on five occasions where i was a witness! haha. Also some wip pictures of my mates Tau commander.
Very dynamic model as it blows up stuff and jetpacks through fire and all.
My ghouls are nearly done, tommorow pictures i promise.

@Daniel36, thanks mate, allthough I wish I had your terrain building skills. I could do with some nice scenery. That will change in a few months time I hope. Just bought a new house and I'm looking forward to my new gaming room :)
So I finished the Ghouls. It's a unit of 30 with a vampire. Really quick paint job. Lots of washes, I just wanted to get this unit done. Also a new wip. I've started working on some warbikes so that I will have a unit of 6 in the future.

Thanks thedigitalflip, Orks are also my favorites most of the time.
So no updates on the painting front yet. But I played a cool 40k battle yesterday and we have taken some pictures. Why not a small rundown of the game with some pics to go.
We played the Strongpoint attack scenario from an old rulebook I think. It is one of the raid scenarios, with the cool rules for sentries. The object of the scenario is the control bunkers but we changed that into one objective. A secret inquisition laboratory where they work on new weapons that use alien technology. In this case make a sort of wraithcannon usable for humans.
I played my witch hunters and my friend played attacker with eldar.
My list was something like this:
-Inquisitor Lord with retinue and some nifty psychic powers
-3 death cult assassins
-Eversor assassin
-6 arco flagellants
- a priest with 9 arbiters in a rhino
- 2 stormtrooper squads in chimeras
- 3 penitent engines.
His list:
-Karandras with scorpions
-5 pathfinders
-2 jetbike squads
-10 swooping hawks
-6 wraithguard in a wave serpent
-3 warwalkers
-2 fire prisms
anyway something like that. I deployed the retinue with inquisitor near the objective and the arbiters in the rhino slightly behind as a fast reserve.
He started with the pathfinders and the scorpions infiltrating. The rest we kept in reserve.
The alarm was sounded pretty soon because his snipers failed to wound my sentry. Karandras stormed the inquisitor and the objective in the centre.
In short my army arrived pretty fast from reserve. He had a bit bad luck and arrived piece-meal. Combined assault made short work of Karandras. Cool stuff was a penitent engine use his Heavy flamers to make short work of the swooping hawks. The Eversor managing to get away with the objective and the Wraithguard actually winning close combat with the arco flagellants.
Anyway here is a few pics:
What is that sneaking in the background?

I think there are two things you should consider regarding the dreadnaughtclosecombatweapon. first of, you could paint it metal like the rest of te metal bits in the model. or you could make it a '"shimmering glowing energised powerclaw" of DEADLY DOOM! in that case I would suggest using the green that you used on the power conduits and wire you could go for blue as it also contrasts nicely with the red, but it would ad yet another colour to the red bone metal and green you're now working with.
Dreadnaught, Deathcompany with jetpacks, my poor Tau!!!!!
I really should get some more melta guns and plasma weaponary in my tau army....
When will you have a workable leagal army Tim?

Hey everyone, long time no see.
I have been very busy the last couple of months because we bought a new house and it still takes up a lot of time renovating. Like a new marble floor in the hallway.

Hey mister emperorNorton, at the moment the gaming room is not finished yet. It will be up on the second floor, but right now we are still putting isolation against the roof so that we do not freeze to death when we play a game. The plan is to finish it in a week or so.
And yes mister Putty that is a trap door, people we dislike will plunge to their doom into a pit filled with alligators.
This weekend we played a big game, 2000 points Witch Hunters together with my mates 2000 points ultramarines vs 4000 points Imperial guard. As I expected we got obliterated on long range. Still we managed to win the game because we managed to hold the objective, although we were lucky the game didn't last another turn. All the work on the house has interfered with my painting. I'm still stuck on the death company I have to finish for the tale. They are almost done, just a few details and the highlight on the black to do. After that I'll paint brother Corbulo.

I do have a lot of orks left to do. But first will be a second pump wagon. Some of the parts are missing. So it's a mix. The wheels are shields, mostly undead. The top is made of an old citadel plague cart. And some bits of an old reaper undead rhino that had prisoners in his belly.

@razormasticator: subsription granted, thanks for the good words!
@leonmallett: Yes I think we should start a new movement, a vision, no more tanks in the 41st millennium.
Got a nice game in today. We played 1000 points secure and control, and with 5 objectives it proved interesting. He played with his cadians, a fairly diverse list. A lot of footsloggers, a russ, some vets in a chimera and a hellhound. How I despise the hellhound. He also had a nasty surprise in the form of a psyker battle squad.

Today I played with my renegades with some additional support of some Hakanor Reavers. All footsloggers ( hate those tanks), except for a sentinel. Platoon, some vets, a primaris psyker, and some Reavers.

http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj119/biginbelgium/cabinet/IMG_3548.jpg?t=1290987379
It was a great game that really went both ways. He was superior in the long range departement. I got pounded by two mortar heavy weapon squads. And of course the russ. My boys stayed put.
The problems started when the psykers let a few of my units run of the table a few turns in a row.
In the end I won the game because I had more objectives. My renegade psyker managed to blast a squad of veterans of the objective. The sentinel tied a unit up in combat so they couldn't reach the objective. Maybe it was luck, but a superb game!
I wish you all a nice week, and hopefully I'll have an update ready soon.

OHHH Yess his hell hound gave me all kinds of trouble
against my eldar, the 'wound on a 2+ no saves of any kind (ap4 no cover saves) and a flame template gun of doom' spells the doom of one or two squads per turn, HORRID!
the trick is to not let him know how awsome and scarry the damed thing is.
I let it show to much and after we played a game he was mumbling about getting 3 hell hounds, 3 being the "magical number" :shifty:

@JT: I agree you should paint a renegade army. Last sunday i just used the IG codex and the chaos codex for the marines. I do have the IA book with the vraks rules, but this time we thought to give the IG codex a try.
@EmperorNorton: thanks mate, our hobby seems insane at times but hey it's also damn sexy.
So I finished the death company today. Next for the BA will be corbulo and I decided to throw in a death company dread as well.
I've also started working on some arrer boyz, some of these will be neccesary in our next WHQ dungeon. Those crossbows will hopefully blow the heroes to pieces.

Today Farseer Emrys and I played a nice big battle of warhammer fantasy.

The Blood Angels (like all your work before them, been having a read through) are excellent, but something is bothering me.
Why is the Furioso model being used as the Death Company Dreadnought, while the Death Company Dreadnought model (i.e. the one with the giant winged skull motif on the sarcophagus) being used as the Furioso?
biginbelgium
08-02-2011, 23:22
Hey guys, thanks I'm glad you like the new set of pictures.
Mr. Emperornorton, that piece of terrain is actually a set sold by GW, so no rhinos were harmed in the proces.
The chaplain dreadnought was actually a gift from a few years ago, the idea to include it in a BA force came much later. I field it as a heavy support dreadnought and for that reason it has a plasma cannon, wich a furioso cannot.
The furioso model dread I bought at a sale for half price also a while ago when I had no use for it. When I started painting the BA I wanted to include it as a furioso, but then I heared about a new kit and then I thought to include it as a DC dread. For one they have the exact same loadout and i liked the rough form of this dread and thought it would look better as a DC dread.
I know, my mind twists and turns in mysterious ways. Glad you like it.

Wow! I just read through the whole thread, impressive I must say. You're commitment is wonderful, wish I had enough painted stuff to fill cabinets! It was really nice to see some old HE models still getting some love, particularly like the old chariot rider in your phoenix guard.
The renegade army is fantastic! Lovely muted tone and they're coming on nicely. Love the skellies aswell and who doesn't love orcs? Blood Angels look superb.
Any tips on the yellow? I'm looking at trying some dirty yellow at some point.
All the best.

@HereBeDragons:thanks mate, the iconography will be freehand.
@leonmallett: thanks, I'll be doing some campaign markers soon.
@JT: your welcome to come over and play with them.
@Aenarion: appreciate your nice words, yellow is a difficult color, I usually use lyanden darksun, then golden yellow and I highlight with bleached bone.
The high elves are my mate's army he has a log here somewhere as well.
@emperornorton: I'll keep you posted on the campaign, first battle will be the 27th of march.
@putty: thanks you too mate.
Here is a small update. I did a few orc archers for the campaign and here is the new wip for the tale.

The librarian is looking really promising. As for the orcs, I love it when people mix different models and tie them in together through the painting. It's always so characterful. Great job!

Jos Do you have a blog somewhere or do you just wander these forums as a bystander?
Merlyn
I'm a simple bystander. I'm having a lack of motivating for the last years I suppose, but once in a while I take my brush and paint a couple models. However, since a couple weeks I've been thinking to make a little start again and maybe even begin a blog about it to keep me motivated. To be continued.. (hopefully)

and of course some new wip shots. Currently working on a tester for some black knights and a soul grinder.
In may I'll be participating in the anual battle of the clubs again, for the ninth time. Too bad I still have to finish some stuff for that. I have to do the soul grinder, Epidemius, a daemon prince and a plague beast. The rest is done and only needs some retouching because those plague bearers were painted ages ago. When it's done I'll post a decent army shot.

Thanks all you guys for the nice words. Work on the soul grinder is going as planned. Had the chance to play a game with my daemons this weekend. It went very well, especially when Epidemius reached his quota.
I did finish the black knight tester. I aim for a fast and simple paint scheme for this army. More of a light snack in between to use in casual games. Here is in a pic with the wight king.

Yo yo , just a small update today to show I'm still here. The assault marines for the tale are comming along nicely. I also have done some work on a daemon prince as well. But since I hate deadlines I decided not to finish the daemons in a hurry for the tournament. Gives me some room to do what I like to paint.k
The 5 orcs are done, slightly different from the 20 I had done a couple of years ago. But I can't be bothered to repaint those again. I had a blast painting these, I bought these orcs with the first money I earned in a supermarket some 15 years ago.

Yo people, it's been a while. Got a small update. I finished my Blood angel assault marines for the tale. Been painting a lot of space orks lately, but no pictures of them yet.
I've also played a lot of games lately and even winning most of them. I had a great game with my Space orcs vs Space wolves. For a tournement I tested my daemons a lot, with a lot of draws as a result.
Got a few games fantasy too. My orcs vs high elves, winning two games. I have great time with the new army book.

Yesterday i played a game with a combined force of blood angels and grey knights vs my friends space wolves. And he made great use of his wolf guard.

Nice work on the armour. The extreme highlighting has come out very nicely I like it. And blue is most definately the way to go!
It is amazing (I went through your blog) how you manage to paint so consequent. Your armies keep getting bigger and bigger :)
Are you planning to give your VC some of the new stuff?

Hey guys,
I haven't fallen of the planet, I just had a vacation and just started a new job. Anyway thanks a lot for your nice comments. Glad you all like the DE.
@ sea.man I have some ideas and a vampire battle standard bearer ready to give paint.
Lately I have had difficulties finding motivation. Luckily i read a good book and I have started work on a unit Iron warrior chosen that have hired themselves out to the Hakanor Reavers. So they have a lot of tech bitz and they will be painted as Iron Warriors with a hakanor icon to tie them in. Still very wip.

I like what you've done with all the techmarine/servitor bits. Very nice idea. Very thematic. The mix of different weapons and equipment styles make them look alot less like a standardised squad which is also really good. Just how chaos should be

very nice squad! I've always loved the iron warriors. The methodical, implacable, grinding, siege-breaking style is very attractive fluff.

Nice conversion work there. Looking forward to how they are going to look all painted up! :D

Hey thanks a lot guys, I was mighty pleased with them myself.
Today I finished a daemon prince that I can use in my nurgle force. Nothing special, I'm not a fan of the model and too lazy to convert it. So straight out of the box.
I also did some work on the Iron Warrior chosen, standard Iron Warrior colors with a hakanor reavers shoulder pad to show there current allegiance.
Also next wip, nothing much, another night goblin shaman and the boars that go with the savage orcs.

Iron warriors are looking cool, but the 3 gargantuan monsters in the background take the cake!

They took my cake often enough!
Nice work on the tec-marine-iron-warrior squad!
looking really good those mini's
Makes it a pleasure to have you as an opponent.
Sadly I'd have to 'gun them down' every time we meet! :p

I think you need more hazard stripes on the iron warriors. Other than that, great work!
Oh, long time I haven't seen those oldschool wfb orcs !
Great job.
Very cool Orks too !

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates. I got a really busy schedule with my new job and all.
I'm glad you all like the iron warriors, altough they are far from done. I've been painting more hazard stripes and I hope that I can finish them in a week or so.
Thanks Napalm, I hope you'll also like this update.
@farseer Emrys: bring it on! I remember a certain battle not to long ago where your Tau seemed a bit confused and butt-kicked.
Okay so I finished 5 savage orc boar riders. And I made a group shot of all the current boar units in the army. Next up will be the iron warriors and a night gobbo shaman. Stay tuned.
