View Full Version : Alternative models

Hey all. Just some quick questions as to alternative models. I've just come across Inch High thanks to you lot, and am aware of Avatars of War and Gamezone. Are there any others you'd recommend? Particularly as far as High Elf spears and archers would go.

Wargods of Aegyptus sebeki would make nice Kroxigor if you could deal with the crocness rather than the dinoness, and Black Tree seems to do some all right stuff, and I can conceive of toy dinosaurs being repainted for use as salamanders.

How about for Empire and Bretonnians? What historical era are we looking at, when it comes to those, and to Dogs of War and Kislev? What about Araby, using the Empire list for a proxy?

And yes, for anyone concerned. When it comes to the human armies it's because I'm cheap. When it comes to Kroxies and the High Elf Core, (and Dark Elf horses!) it's because I think what GW offers shouldn't be what we expect as far as quality goes. And that AoW Dark Elf lord is quite simply stunning.

Anything you'd recommend for other armies would be noted too.

Gamezone, Westwind (Dwarf Wars), Reaper (Warlord series), Confrontation, are the first choices for alternative troops, more companies for heroes. I usually start research on this website:
