it would be ammusing, no units the vamps can join, maybe make them all flying for more ammusment :)

It'd be hilarious!

Mount the vampires on flying Zombie Battle pigeons (Hellsteeds)!

The vampires can hide behind the zombies. No need to join them.

Until you face cannons...

Edit: Turn the varphulf into two ghoul bunkers for the vampires to hide in.

I'd rather have 100 ghouls over 200 zombies, but that's me.

The point is that you can raise more zombies, without the help of any vampiric power.

its amusing but you really wont win since zombies just cant win combat for you.

You don't need to win the combat, your opponent will lose it for you ^_^

Overnumbered, he will have a bad roll, or will be flanked, so he will lose the combat, despite the zombies don't make a single wound.

intersting. I would have never thought of felding an army like this. I does seem to expose the Vamps a bit. How about a couple Corps carts to get the herd walking a bit faster and add a bit of impact damage to the flanks? also save you 40 zombies to paint.

More like 300+ zombies, if you take raising spells into account.

How does a corspe cart keep "the herd walking a bit faster"? I think you have it confussed with the black coach.

very cool but to be competative I would think about dropping soem zombies for some skeles to become a vamp bunker. A mean imagin the front rank would be 4 vamps of pain :D

It would be funny, but how would it ever win? You can bog people down, but the zombies will never wound anything, and you'll just lose combats over and over. Even when you bring them back, they'll just keep on losing.

The Varghulf can flank charge, but will crumble because of how many wounds everyone will do on the zombies.

And anything that flies can just go and kill the vamps.

I guess the plan would be to flank them with your ridiculous zombie hordes and/or wait for your opponent to screw up his attacks (it'll happen eventually ;) ).

Good point about the Vargulf though - he'd really need to be going it alone if you want to avoid death via crumble.

Also, those vampires will need to be spread out of you want to maintain all your zombie blocks at a good size. Flying Zombie Battle Pigeons (ie. Hellsteeds) are thus needed. :D

Of course an army like this would probably pull off a draw at best - short of the above, zombies are just too crap to feasibly win combat against anything.

What about missile troops on hills?

dont know how well it would do in a competitive setting, but i still wouldnt want to fight it with any army that had to worry about fear...

and, uh, the varghulf is only 175 pts, youd have anouther 10pts to kill

If you were really going to do this list:
1. Drop a unit for some ghouls to hide the vamps in, OR give the vamps all flying mounts.
2. Your lv1 vamps dont have much need for powerstones. Think about bound items or combatty items instead (hand of dust is my favourate)
3. Combine the units into blocks of 30-40 instead of just 20 each
