Hi

I am looking for a website diplaying the efforts of someone who started to build a 3D Space Hulk board, making the original sections, but only slightly bigger so that he could play with the new termies.

I remember that a few sections were ready, one with pipes along the walls and one with a small alcove to control them, and there was a stealer under some floor grating built in one section.

I am looking for this site but cannot seem to find it again.

Can you help me?

Thanks
Festus

Do you happen to look for this one (http://spacehulk.beckerf.de/html/3d-spacehulk.html)? It seems to be pretty helpful when building your own 3d terrain for Space Hulk.

Probably now what you were looking for, but www.parasiticstudios.com has a really nice Space Hulk gaming board.

Here's the link: http://www.parasiticstudios.com/gallery74.htm

Thank you so far, but no, those are not what I am looking for.

AFAI remember, there was no casting involved, only building the structure out of foamcore and then adding detail for each section individually.

Hi Festus,

It sounds like it may be my Space Hulk you're talking about.
Was it this one? (http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76227)
All pictures are still stored on my Photobucket. (http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h213/Modhail/WIP/Space%20Hulk%203D/?start=all&special_track=album_paginate_top_view_all)

Sadly, I haven't been able to work on it for over half a year now, due to lack of working space.
It's still in my thoughts though and I keep gathering bits and ideas for it.

Bye, Modhail.

Damn, sorry for the necro, guys! A friend mailed me a link to this question, and I only saw the thread was this old after hitting "Submit"...
My apologies!

[Edit]
Dammit, too late. That friend was me I fear. Impressive work, worthy of bragging.

Threadonacy forgiven Modhail! thats a great looking Hulk, please get the urge to start it again, I would love to see what else you can do!

Lack of working space, come on, how much does one little square take up, Im sure you could do one section at a time!!!

True, the section itself doesn't take up much room, it's the massive piles of bits, tools and other materials that I need to have within arms reach when building....
I can easily cover a 3 square yard area with materials for the Hulk, and then still need room for my work area! (my regular working space is about one and a half square yards in surface, including both a painting and modelling workstation.)

At my regular hobby desk I just don't have the room to store 12 types of tubing, card and mesh and still manhandle a yard long piece of copper tubing into a vice to saw off some 4" sections. :(

Also, I tend to build on the hulk at a rather frantic pace and I've discovered that not having everything within easy reach disturbs my "flow" in a rather annoying fashion.
So the only place I can really work on the Hulk is in the garage, but I can't lay exclusive claim to it indefinitely.
Don't worry, the urge is still there and strong. Besides, I have to finish it, my wife only allowed me to start on this massive project if I promised her I would really finish it. She's been asking about it as well lately...
