Did I miss something or has GW had a change of heart?
Both the Marneus (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99110101299&orignav=10) and the terminator (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99120101027&orignav=10) bits are on individual sale (15 quid for one termi sprue  ) but I thought they had a 6 months policy?

You're probably not missing anything...

Not sure exactly what is going on here, but I've had issues in the past where GW would put the puts up "early" "by mistake", and then even though I'd ordered them through the system, it wouldn't go through, etc.

Leading to lots of confusion and, usually, no order shipped.

But, to be far, after a few e-mails, the problem was resolved.

Bottom line: feel free to order the bitz, but don't be shocked if they don't ship...

they've changed the bits policy in the UK because everyone was complaining that most of the other online stores did the same day bits releases, whereas GWUK Direct Sales had a 3 month turnaround (must admit, i never complained to them, but i made sure they knew about it everytime i rang them with an order)

That's the problem though cos you still can't order some bits specifically. Like the command sprue with all the specialists bits on.

yeah thats a worldwide thing, because its all on 1 sprue (its snapped in half to fit in the box), you wouldn't save 1p buying it as bits

Erm, that's the commander not the command one. The one with the Apothcary, champion etc. That's a seperate sprue in a box of several isn't it?

Yes, the Apothecary, champion, etc. in the Command Squad *is* a separate sprue.

And ironically enough, this is the "bit" in question that I was talking about. It eventually worked out OK for me, but I wasn't aware that you can no longer buy it as a separate bit... Hang on...

Actually, you can purchase it separately... for US$24.00. Ouch!

I got it for a bit less! GW customer service really did come through for me...

If you think about it buying that sprue would cost you at least 10. A combat squad is 8 and a command squad is 18 and sprues normally cost a little more seperately so I think you'd be looking at paying around 12 -14 for it. I'd rather pay 18 and buy the marines to go with it.

Cheers

yeah, the box is better value (unless you buy the Battleforce, as you get the Kneeling Sprue with that box)

RE the Command Sprue in the UK, i beleive its not on there for the same reason as the Cpmmander Sprue, they will probably have it priced at 15 so it really won't sell separately

But they have the other component sprues up though. I understand the reasoning with the commander sprue, but not the command squad. Specially when the US can order it. Think with the Termi's you'd be better off buying another box set..

yeah well if they price it at 15 no-one will buy it, so they may be saying to hell with it, we'll not put it up

Someone somewhere will buy a sprue @ 15 .... :D

If you've a load of old metal bodies the arm/accessoriy sprue is prolly cheaper than forking out for all thouse metal weapon arms. Plus its a cheap(ish) way to update the look of the old models. And vice versa if you happen to have a load of old metal Termi arms, buy the new bodies sprue and voila another set of Termis relatively cheaply.

Looking at the Termi sprues I noticed legs/toros are on one sprue arms accessories on the other. Can we expect a new accessory sprue with the assault weapons arms when the assult termis are out later in the year?

I think once we see the new SM tactical/assault/dev boxes out we'll see the command squad sprues up on the online store too.

I am sure that you can expect another new accessory sprue with the Assault Terminator box.

And you can expect to pay a lot for it if you want just the sprue, thereby making the complete box a "better deal"...

it'll be the body sprue, and the other one will have 5 pairs of Lightning Claws and 2 pairs of Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield

Sorry boogle, could you please better explain? Are you saying the same sprue in the Battleforce is diffrent?
 Prolly i misunderstood,
Sorry if that's the case

I meant the Command squad is better value that the comand sprue on its own, although if you buy the Battleforce, you get the kneeling marine sprue in there, which should have been in the Command Squad
