As anyone interested in Blood Bowl will know, GW's changes to Mail Order have seriously screwed up buying Blood Bowl teams. They no longer sell individual players (some Stars excepted), so depnding on the race you're playing, you'll need to buy anywhere between 2 and 4 team boxes to get one complete team.

Well, help is on the way.

The guys that brought you Impact! miniatures have worked out a deal with GW UK to buy in team boxes, split them and sell the components seperately.

These are genuine GW figures, not casts, so can be used in GW stores and tournaments.

As well as helping the Blood Bowl community get the figures they need, hopefully this will send a message to GW that they screwed up on selling BB online, and will fix the webstore.

So, if you want an individual Blitzer, you know where to go.

That's really cool, but aren't they going to end up with tons of left overs?

I can see them charging more for the "positionals" and less for the "linemen". This might help out with balencing the costs but I see what you mean.

well some teams require more linemen like dark elves since positionals are too expensive for them but i see what you mean

They've already factored that into their calculations, and are sure they can cope.
From the Impact forum, it seems that BBFigs is already supporting itself.

That's great then, especially since I've finally got myself a BB team. Now I just need to play with it...

GW officials are going to sample what my Blood Bowl team is made out of and check it against official alloys?

Yeah, just like in real sports, the use of "prohibited" substances will earn you a ban.

Bloody Brilliant, over the years of not playing on the TT I've had a beastman (or four!) go walkabouts on me and this will save trawling ebay. The prices aren't bad at all either (IIRC beastmen were the same from GW when they had them individually) Can't get away posting without my own grumble on how Specialist games got shafted in the shake up so.... there it is. ;)

That's where my crusade to make BB popular among Mexicans comes in... Once the full team's and many individual pieces' pricing goes down to a reasonable level, of course.

Not an easy task, but that's how sports legends are born! :D

Reckon they will go so far as to split up the BB boxed set? I'm keen fro the Plastic Human Team, but not anything else in there.

They need to offer dice.
I may be able to swing a spare plastic human team btw.

Ooooh, I'd definitely be interested. Need it for the league we're starting at my local club. Could you PM me a price and whatnot?

They won't be doing the box set, but if jazzdude can't help, try Tritex Games: http://www.tritex-games.co.uk/

Even if they're not listed on the website, send him an email.

I assume the official Bloodbowl miniatures aren't on that site because of the whole GW and Shopping carts thing?

So far ... we've found that Ebay can solve most of this problem ... ie scads too many linemen.
