I've got ten goblin wolf riders, fast cavalry. Would it be better to keep them in one unit, or split them into two? I'm not sure of all the factors that affect either option.

I'd suggest two. Fast cav are, generally, used to bait charges and screen your more valuable units. Two units of five will give you good frontage and more flexibility than a unit of ten.

I say two units. Some all-goblin armies will take units of 10-15 and give them shields (which no longer makes them fast cavalry), but those are always supported by units of 5 fast cav.

2 units. They can flank, protect flanks, harass missile troops and all sorts of other wonderful things as two units= *2 effectiveness:)
