I figured I would post this here and ask the experts for help. I have started a thread in Rules Dev about importing the Varingyr into INQ. I cover the basic reasoning in the thread, so if you are interested in expanding the 40K universe and adding more potnetial NPC's and PC's into INQ come by and help me out.

Well, I'm not sure that they need any special rules, per se. They're short, tough humans in essence. My Rogue Trader character has a Squat Engineer who maintains her private fleet of vehicles (not the ship, much to his chagrin, which is under AdMech franchise).

Mind you, I've given this character the "Tech Use" ability that I bastardized from Dark Heresy: he gets a +20 modifier to his Sg for any tests involving technology.

Special rules maybe the wrong word. I'm just trying to figure out what their stats and abilities might be. For example, a Inq and a Guardsman are both humans but they have very different stats and abilities.
