My take on this two Inquisitor scale minis. Still WIP so I'd like some feedback especially about those green thingies ruins) on their bases. Should I highlight them some more?

Pics of the second one. By the way which one is Severina and which is Sevora? I never got to know that.

Ah, the eyes... This scale realy helps. It's the first time I paint eyes in detail. :D

Inquisitor scale figures are a lot of fun to paint, quite different from 40k. For these two I'll copy GW's style (from the box cover photo) - minimal highlights and gloss varnished leather suits. I may get to work some more on them tomorrow. I'll post pics of any progress...

i like them, i feel the bases could do with some more colour, maybe a few small patches of dead looking static grass of you have any?

also, Severina's the one with the sword, and Sevora with the daggers :)

Hooray, not only you like them but I also got to know who is Sevorina and who is Sevora.

As for the static grass I may add some after the varnishing... or should it be snow?

Finished and varnished.

I wonder what should I do with the bases. I have 3 options in mind:

1) Leave them as they are

2)Add some static grass patches

3)Add some snow patches

What you think?

Wow. Those look amazing. You really got the leather to look very good. One question though; how are you doing metallics, especially silvers? The blade of Severina's sword looks amazing.

For the bases, I'm a bit torn apart but I think that patches of snow would look better. Generally speaking, snow tends to be less of a problem in terms of colour composition of a miniature since it's white and therefore "non-coloured".

With the black base, I think you could use both static grass and snow. If the grass looks dead and is also a bit covered by the snow, it would look like it's thawing...

I'm leaning more towards snow myself, howver I'm not sure as I always imagined agents of the Inquisition fighting battles in abandoned warehouses, ruined buildings and semi - indoors environments in general. I may leave the bases as they are for the moment and decide later.

As for the metalics the recipe is quite straightforward

-Paint Boltgun Metal
-Highlight with Chainmail (at these stage the blade of Severina's sword is painted Chainmail)
-Wash with a mix of Black Ink: Brown Ink: Green Ink:H2O 5:4:1:10
-Highlight Chainmail (again the blade of Severina's sword is painted with thinned Chainmail)
-Final highlights at the most pronounced edges and the sharpest points of blades with Mithril silver

-Paint Brazen Brass
-Highlight with Shining Gold
-Wash with a mix of Brown Ink: Green Ink: H2O 8:2:10
-Re-highlight with Shining Gold
-Highlight extreme edges with burnished gold
-Shade receses with a mix of Dark Angels Green : Chaos black: H2O 7:3:10

Ah, thanks. That's the way I'm doing it too so unluckily, there seems to be no big trick behind it, it's just very well done.;) Thanks and consider Serpent's suggestion of using snow and grass as well.
