I was just looking at getting some more wardancers (apparently 48 isn't enough when you've lost your mind).

Anyway, I noticed the US website has a new 5-count box for $20 compared to the usual 10-count for $45...

So I checked the UK website thinking this must not be correct. They have the 10-count for L20 and the 5-count for 12...

I'm guessing the US sites pricing will be 'fixed' to be more in that line...

Ah well, thank goodness we enjoy such an affordable hobby

It's not wierd. They've done that for a long time. When they repackaged the blisters into boxes of 5 there was money off if you bought the same number of blisters i.e. Empire greatswords were 7 for 3. There now 12 for 5. The reason the 10 boxset is cheaper than buying 2 x 5boxes is because you think, "Oh, there cheaper, so I'll buy them," then you pay more than what you were expecting. Your giving them more money is one go. It's a good way for them to get some ready cash. Same with the battalions and army deals. Remember there is a mark-up on these items, it probably doesn't cost them 20 to make 10 wardancers. There just getting cash quicker.

EDIT: Oh, I see what you mean now. You meant the 5 man box in america is cheaper than the 10 man box. Perhaps they figure the smaller boxes will sell better over there whilst here they try taking us for all our pennies.

The reason the 10 boxset is cheaper than buying 2 x 5boxes is because you think. But the whole issue was that the 10 box was more than twice as expensive than the 5 box which ment that you could buy either two 5 boxes for 20 each or one 10 box for 45.

Look at the prices of 40k if you think fantasy is bad :P...$35-$45 for 10 base plastic troop models..

The 5-count box is a new offering (at least on the US site) and I imagine they just haven't noticed and intend to actually be running at least $22.50 for 5 if not even $25.00

The UK sites pricing would seem the usual corporate trend.

I wonder how many of the artillery bataillone boxes they sold with Apocalpyse (nine Bassilisks, one Chimera). They also were more expensive then buying three units of three and a Chimera seperately...
