That is one big model.

Really does look like it could be the size of a rhino like they were saying

In case anyone is interested, this photo was photoshopped to include the cadian and change the colour scheme of the fex. The author based the size of the cadian on the assumption that the fex is on a 60mm base.

You can also get an idea of the 'fex's size from the released picture of the new battleforce box set. See here.http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/Hodes101/Battleforce.gif

A battleforce? With stealers, warriors and gaunts as well? Damn I'm gonna lose a lot of money with this new release.

That photoshopped painted carnifex looks a lot better than the normal colored one btw.

Wowzers! Well, it looks like I have to add another army to my growing list. Ballcocks!

Damn that 'fex is sexy. Makes me want to do nids.

It's a shame about the new battleforce box... as much as I want the new 'Fex, the older box is a better choice IMO. Twice as many gaunts, and 4 more Stealers (granted, old style stealers).

The new box is a good deal, but only 16 gaunts total? uhg.

So whats the bets on the price of this exselent new Carnifex?

20 or 25?

I'd guess the same price as the plastic Dreadnaught myself...

It's a wonderful model, but after all the hype I think I expected it to be perhaps a little bigger. Obviously I've spent too long gawping at the Forge World Tyranids.

That battleforce looks pretty useful really - especially when added to the contents of the army deal.

1 x Tyrant
9 x Warriors
24 x Hormagaunts
24 x Termagants
16 x 'Stealers
3 x Raveners
1 x Zoanthrope
1 x Carnifex

Pretty rounded and dangerous army right there! Add in a couple of Guards, another 'Thrope and maybe one more box of Gaunts and you're set to take on the best of them!

I'll put my bet in for $50 USD.

This guy is really good with Photoshop if he can produce such a picture.

At least the rumour that the 'fex is as large as a Rhino is now history...

Have fun,

Rolf.

Close enough, I suppose.

Depending on whether the new price hike rumor is true or not, I'll probably be getting one... with a few mods to make it stand up alittle more it'll be perfect.

I love the new nids and since seeing the new carnifex it is no exception (the exception for me is the way too over the top looking zonathrope for me - though the zoan was the only metal 3ed nid I liked).

Good to see it with the size comparison although I new it was a 60mm base so could guestimate the size pretty well.

rkunisch, I found that once I could use photoshop its pretty easy to do alot of stuff, its gettign to understand it thats hard! But then I do use it every day so I guess I should be able to.

Not really :P, all he did was change the color saturation. Its like a 10 sec job, depending on how fast he found something he liked. I know cause I did the exact same thing with the hive tyrant.

Regardless, I love that "paint scheme". A size comparison to the two old Canifex models would be seriously useful... a bit harder to do possibly though.
