Just wondering because I'm rather tempted to get a set, just to model and paint.

What will/would you use the new Beserkers from FW for?

they look awesome!! i will get 4 packs of zerkers and chainaxes as i started a khorne army and just get 4 rhinos, the chainaxes could be a bit more khornate but nothing that cant be solved with a bit of greenstuff and plasticard

I play Black legion, so I'd use them as Berserkers, but if I was playing World Eaters, definitely Chosen. More ornate than the plastic ones.

Zerkers and Raptors (with the 5th edition I will be using cults over chosen as they count as scoring units. also, cults can't lose that extra attack).

The one thing I don't like about the KB/DG conversion kits are the legs. I know I won't be able to stick such awesome torsos on basic CSM legs so I'll have to get some more plastic Zerkers just for the marks of Khorne on the legs :D

Vets + Axes = UBER

All depends on cost really.
If I can afford it then as berserkers, if not then it'll have to be chosen. Though this might be a chance at last for me to get a none horde army done after 14 years playing horde armies with the exception of when I played World Eaters for a few months before the army fell to bits. :p

I guess it also depends how many unique parts they have in the end...if theres enough to do entire units without any double pieces I'll be way more tempted. :D

i will get some axes for my pre-heresy WE and *may* get some marine kits for my CSM.

I'll probably eat them whole, with a tasty sauce made from what remains of my wallet.

By the way, I chose "Other". ;)

Mostly berzerkers, but some chosen of khorne, and a few will end up in the possessed.:)

Shame the WE won't be hitting the tabletop anytime soon.:(

Ordered some of the terminators as well.

Hmm....why would forge world release a set for cult termies if they're are no rules for cult termies (cept apoc)

Jervis said they wouldn't do cults unless they can get the right......

Forge world do rules for armies they release......so maybe forge world will release rules orfr cult armies?

Target practice?

Quoted for truth. I don't play chaos, and to me they don't seem particularly better than the plastic berzerker kit.

Target practice?

Indeed. I need a good target for my 3 new battlecannon's downrange fire capabilities (i.e whether they're unlucky or not).

Although those chainaxes... I might put 'em on some hardened vets for kicks. That'd be kinda cool. (Minus chaos iconography, of course.)

This poll is broken... there is no option for "just found out they exist, but I also never buy Forgeworld, so I plan to do nothing with them."

...They are "pretty"...

where's my: "damn you forge world, you've once again failed to produce any tzeentch stuff" option?

...They are "pretty"...

...dull, static and no real improvement over the current ones?

Oddly enough, I really don't quite like the new Khorne Berzerkers (although the terminators are sex). Not much of an overall wowness to it that makes it that much more desirable over the old plastic. The Nurgle Death Guard are sweet as heck though.

I would probably, if I should ever get them, use them as berzerkers.

I think what puts most people off these new kits is the fact that they all still use the relatively under-detailed plastic legs for evrything. The contrast is really just too jarring to have a natural feel to the model.

Ah, well. 's what green stuff is for, I suppose.

static

They're torsos and shoulder pads, any 'staticness' is purely down to how they've been asembled and which legs\arms have been used.

I'll make some sweet champions with 'em if I get them.

I'm loving these new models. On the head detail I dig the way the respirators are modelled into the skin. Like half and half heads with teeth on show in the front. Put a good paint job on that and they are gonna look saucy. I'm gonna use em for champs and chosen.

They look quite good but I will need to finish my Zerkers that I already have before I buy the FW ones , might mix the kit up with some of the bloodletter kit.

the new WE terminator = angry easter bunny

chocolate for the rabbit god! eggs for the bunny throne!

the "ears" just ruin the look for me. But I was never a khorne/world eater bunny marine liker anyway. The models' headwear is just too wrong-looking. thousand sons are a bit meh for me as well for the same reason.
