I've mounted my FW Bloodthirster on a 100x100 base and I was under the impression that anything that was larger than an orge, unit strength wise, could be mounted on any base or no base. I'm going off of the unit strength chart on pg. 71 of the little rule book that states which bases are used on which models. I'm just trying to figure this out before I go to an upcoming tournament and to make sure I've got it right. Thanks guys.

Far too big and puts you at a serious disadvantage in the tournament.
50X50 is more commonly accepted.

While 50X50 may be more acceptable and strategically sounder. It would never fit. A giants base 50X75 might work or 75X75. See pictuere below for some size comparisons.

You had better contact your tournament organizer. Warhammer does not allow for a model to be put on a larger base like 40K does. The accepted size for any greater Daemon is 50x50.

Being on a larger base is a disadvantage, but can have some advantages depending on various daemonic gifts.

I previously posted the exact same question regarding the Forge World Keeper of Secrets, but fortunately, it can fit on a 50x50.

To mention an advantage: your terror has a greater circle of effect.

I think it is a bit difficult, IIRC the forgeworld bloodthirster actually has a rulesset of its own, right? Anyway, a bloodthirster should be based on 50x50 to be legal. My opinion would be, that in friendly games others shouldn't object since it is just an awesome model, in tournament you should ask the organisers.
