Alrighty,
It's no secret that I forced three of my friends down to Chicago last year to go to the Adepticon team tournament and it was a fantastic time.

Unfortunately the initial plan was to get my girlfriend (at the time) to go with us, so she could represent the "pretty girl" population, but things didn't turn out the way they should have and I had to get a "big bearded guy" (ok another one!) to go in her stead.

I've been bugging her to gimmie the pictures of the models we worked on together for the tournament (since we wanted the lists to all be heavily themed) and we've finally gotten our wires connected and so here they are!

This is the Harlequin Wraithlord we decided upon. I converted up the new plastic model pretty heavily using clippers, a ton of plastic glue, some brass rod and creativity. She painted it, so that's all to her credit. I especially like the green spirit stones and the white mask.

This is her Avatar, since the 1k list featured two squads of harlequins running across the board, supported by guardian squads we figured a close combat, making-everything-fearless, powerhouse like the avatar would be perfect. I shamelessly stole the idea from someone in a WD a year or so ago, and added a brass rod with a spear for the wailing doom.

These are her shadow seers, she's got better taste than I do and was able to pick out some really cool looking wings (from some reaper miniatures) and I was able to drill out their backpacks and stick 'em on with some brass rod and glue.

I'm still hoping she gets the guardians done, I'd love to show you the entire two squads and the other harlequins when they're done!

Enjoy!

Finally, this is sort of a joke:

This is her broodlord: He's holding the head of one of my Blood Claws!
When I was teaching her how to play the game, this guy assaulted a 10 man blood claw squad that had two power fists and killed ALL of them without ever getting hurt!

In the same game she also glancing 6ed my rhino with a venom cannon toting warrior and killed eight (8!) grey hunters in the ensuing explosion!

arg!

ps. Here's another random harlie I found!

Great looking stuff. What are your plans for the bases?

I'm currently working on finding some pre-molded or textured plasticard that has a tile or a brick pattern on it. She'll then paint the bricks alternating colors, black, white, purple and blue (matching the theme) or maybe just black and white.

I plan on cutting them out in irregular shapes, so that the bases are only barely spherical and more angular.

Thanks for the reply, I know she'll like it :D

Looks like a great themed army so far! Can't wait to see the rest of them.

Is there any chance you know which reaper mini's those wings came off of? They are really nice and i'd love to get some for a bit of conversion work.
