Well basically I have been following some sculpting logs recently and I've been bitten by the bug. I started sculpting my Ork Warboss quite some time ago and never got round to finishing it, well even doing much on it. When the new codex chaos daemons came out I was disappointed by the un-updated plague bearers and Thought I could do better so I am currently sculpting the first of hopefully a squad. Then there is also a chaos obliterator which is not a complete sculpt but I am converting and painting it for a friend and thought I should whack the pics up on here.

Looks good so far dude. The legs look neat.

thnx, im not too happy with the right leg, weird how the first one I sculpted came out better. Oh and expect an update either Saturday or Sunday as tomorrow i'll be at a beach party so I doubt any will get done. Also at this point in time the plauge bearer is the rough torso shape a skeleton of one leg, the other will be tentacles and one pec. I will post pics when a bit more is done. I am planning on making it a multi part modle so that I can cast it if it turns out well.

OK I have bulked up the obliterators arm, next on the list is to add more tenticles and to sculpt the head. I have started sculpting muscle on to the second arm which is taken from an ork dreadnought. Once the green stuff has set I will pin the second arm on and whack a blob of green stuff over the joint so it will be sturdy for next time I sculpt on it.

Well this is a pic of the plague bearer so far, not much done yet but still, today I sculpted the neck and I reckon I will make the rough shape of the head next, The neck wont be that long dont worry I was just using up my last bit of green stuff.

Comments and critisism welcome

Well the Obliterator now has a couple more tentacles on his arm and also the start of his face, don't laugh. It wont look like a cheesy smile when it's finished, well I certainly hope it doesn't anyway.

Coments and critisism gladly accepted :D

Also anyone know why my pictures are coming out a bit dotty if you get what I mean, random dots of different colour in them, Im using a macro on my camera for super close up, I will try using close up instead.

Well A little more progress sorry there isn't more but I've been really busy with work and stuff. Also I attempted making teeth but that just wasn't happening so I need to have another go some time.

Also sorry for the bad light it was a dull day and they were not close enough to my real light light bulb, or whatever it's called lol.

The pics are only coming out in poor quality when loaded onto the internet they are fine on my computer!

Nice early attempts of sculpting. I'm no pro at sculpting but I've found that adding bits of green stuff at a time to the area that you are working on gives you more control than pushing around a big blob. That way you can work in detail as you go along.

Photo wise it looks like they are being resized too large. Can you change the pixel resolution on the in your [IMG] link.

Just my 2 cents.

ah yeh I had that thought when I last posted. I'm using photobucket. So how would I resize it on there? Or would I just make the image smaller before uploading it to photobucket? Also thanks for the advice. I really need to get some clay shapers aswell at the moment Im just using a scalpel which is far from ideal lol.
